  • I remember hearing that Steve had passed, and a lot of people said ' who', and I just turned my back and said you will know someday!!!!!

  • I remember the day he left us. It was my brother's 30 birthday. Bobby (my brother) called me and wanted to know why this was happening. It made us all sad. God bless his family as the anniversary comes upon us.

  • Great tribute to Steve! The Old Town School of Folk Music will never be the same without him! Misss You !!!

  • Thanks for this. Some of the best shows I've ever seen were by Steve at Mariposa Folk Festival in the 70's. Hope he's got a big cloud to play on.

  • wow

  • The photo of him looked like Ted Bundy.

  • Steve was the warmest and best.... Hey Harry,,,, Good Job.... I'm sure it gave him a smile. It gave me a smile....

  • Wow!!.......great tribute to a great soul

  • You can listen to this song and others on a CD in the back of clay Eals book about SG called Facing the Music. There are some really great tribute songs on this cd. Made me cry.

  • If you haven't bought Anthology - you have missed one great time

  • This is a beautiful dedication to the greatest Cubs fan that has ever existed. Today, a quarter of a century after his passing, we still sing "Go Cubs Go" after our victory against the Cardinals. That was for you Steve. RIP.

  • Wonderful-thank you. Saw him in Chicago

in 1974. I still miss him.

  • This is a great track...unfortunately I can't find the lyrics anywhere...any chance you might help?

    Thanks,

    Shady

  • Cried all the way through it. What a beautiful tribute to a greatly under-appreciated song writer and performer. Thanks for posting it.

  • Thank you for this wonderful tribute song. I also get tears in my eyes from laughing so hard at his lyrics. Still waiting for Keith Moreland to drop another routine fly.
