That's not a moonfish, it's a sunfish. Moonfish are smaller, blue-colored with red fins and inhabit deeper water.

This is what we saw while diving on Sunday. Everyone on the dive boat called it a Mola Mola or moonfish but there seems to be confusion about wether it is a Moon fish or a Sunfish ( in French its a Poisson Lune ) but according to Wikipedia its an Ocean Sunfish. Very impressive whatever it is ... MOLA MOLA !!!

I'm pretty sure that is a Sunfish. Moonfish are generally orange colored and without such prominent fins but have a similar shape.

That's acutally a sunfish, which is not edible. It's full of parasites. A moonfish (also called an Opah), is more colourful & resembles more of the normal fish.
