  • This song is hard...well done, you played it really well!

  • can you please send me the link in which you got the sheet music, i need it for my exam and i can't find it!

  • @alanchan1024 - Pleae help me.. During the second half of the piece, when the triplets are played on the left hand.. Does the right hand have to strictly play straight eighth notes?? So it basically is 4 over 3 right?? In your video I am not sure if it is strictly being followed.. I think you are playing more naturally with feel and there is no strict timing co-ordination between right and left hand.. right??

  • Absolutely beautiful. <3

  • this song is definitely difficult to play.......

  • @lavamaster530 perhaps you should learn the piece before saying it's Grade 5 standard, it is possibly one of the hardest pieces I've ever learnt, although anyone who knows anything about music should be able to tell how hard it is just by looking at the sheet music tbh.. :L

  • Does anyone know where I can find sheet music for this piece?

  • @lavamaster530 This piece is incredibly difficult...have you actually seen or played the piece ? I've always been told by teachers that it should be in grade 8. Those triplets are killers. And the last chords. Ouch :L Beautifully played by the way :)

  • This piece has a strange ending to it :P lol

  • how the hell you use your left hand......

  • I wasn't sure how fast to play this piece, so I'll follow your example. Great performance btw :)

  • Ah - Liszt - so beautiful and so difficult to play, but so worth it!

  • Aren't you playing it a little bit slow? And the grade of this song seems more like a 5 to me rather than a 7.

  • @lavamaster530 have you actually learnt the whole piece?

  • @alanchan1024 no only looked at and studied the music sheet.

  • @lavamaster530 Grade 5??!! This piece is a swine! No way is it less than grade 6 at least :P But it is grade 7. I suggest learning it, its fantastic :) But really quite tricky.

  • @lavamaster530 you misunderstood liszt

  • @lavamaster530 Well, the piece requires a lot of expression (the opposite of what is being done here). Plus, triplets and half beats are always a nuisance.

  • You played it nicely. I would like to choose this piece, too. I want to know what beat are you using? Does big hands really an advantage for playing this piece? Do you have any suggestions for people with small hands?

  • I'm having trouble finding this piece of music since it isn't in the Grade 7 ABRSM book - is there a safe website where I can purchase the solo? I need it as soon as possible ='P

    Thanks.

  • @RachHerexD

The Petrucci Music Library at IMSLP.org. Free, good quality, a truly wonderful resource. Not sure if this is there, but I'm sure you can find it if it is!

  • love this, cant wait to get started :D

  • beautiful song!

Is this song hard to play? seems like the rhythm is difficult to catch

  • @wingleeavril this is quite harder than it sounds. I used some rubato so the rhythm is not strict

  • Beautiful! Hope you play Chopin Etude Op. 25 no. 1 in Ab major too....

  • @paopaomanalansan I play that ... hope to video it later, after this busy ABRSM season!
