Me too Scott! The downside is that the hurricane season doesn't end until the end of October, so we have several more weeks of anxiety to go! At least we can see them coming & get out of the way if need be!
I'm glad you were able get back home & that the power was back on in time for your return. Come on over to Houston for a visit some day, there's lots to do and excellent seafood, Mexican food & margaritas! Don't you just hate hurricanes?
What you saw on the video was about all the weather we got. Not long after I posted the video the rain & wind died down and the storm had passed on. I wasn't disappointed!
Thanks, I was looking forward to getting soem good storm footage, but it passed us by and the wind & rain died down within an hour of when I posted the video!
Mike~ I was relieved to hear that the storm didn't come rolling through your way in full fury. So far all we've had of it was a bit of cloudiness which made for a pretty sunset. I'm nearly 400 miles from the coast so we may not feel the effects but the next few days will tell. Let's see, isn't Gustav a second cousin to Carl Gunth? Again, glad you only had a strong breeze and some rain.

Cool, honey! I'm SO glad you didn't get much of Gustav. We were VERY tempted to evacuate there...but opted for Dallas (north) instead.

It really wasn't, the storm was so far away we didn't even get any rain. Our good fortune meant a bad time for others though!

Thanks, we didn't really feel much effect from the storm. Today's it's clear, hot and sunny. I'm looking forward to the end of hurricane season.
