It just needs that fast and slick physics engine from PES 6 to make the series good again. Ever since 2008, it became sluggish on controls and having to copy some of Fifa's game modes.
i can't understand people who consider a game where the opposition throws the ball in the exact same spot when they get a throw in close to your 16 meter box the best football sim, a game where at replays in certain angles the spectators are seen with their backs towards the pitch (!!!!), a game where when the opponents defence gets the ball outside the box after a corner, there's always one of your teammates there to try a ridiculous volley shot (which almost always goes meters out). pes? pssss
@Calinn86 also i never seen ronaldo, messi or other players doing one of their tricks, they just get the ball and run with it like blind people with a ball tied to their legs, until they crash into a defender.the gameplay is so stupidly anoying, that the great graphics can't make me like this game at all. i'm not saying fifa is much better, but at least there i don't get bored with so many childlishly stupid programming mistakes and if i try hard, i can pretend i play a realistic football game

The game turned out to be shit...controller is not user friendly, I can´t get a friend who play FIFA to play this game ´cause is fucking impossible to play it withou at least 5 h of gameplay...PES 2010 actually feels better for me to play and even FIFA 2011 is better(gameplay wise)...that new passing system really screwed PES, which, in my opinion, was the best footbal game out there until 2011

I have both FIFA 11 nad PES 11. 1 problem in FIFA if you play Messi or Ronaldo you don't feel like having advantage. in PES you can run like Messi from half the way and score goals. As Ronaldo you can beat every defender with your run on wings.

In the end, its the licensing that kills me, I wanna be able to play as players and teams I see in real life, not some lame generic "London FC" Sports games actually help me learn about teams and players I wouldn't know about, especially since fifa has a shit load of clubs from around the world that i don't usually get to see in real life, I love to get to know them in the game through the different modes. I'm sorry, thats always gonna give fifa a LOT of points to me.
I always been a fifa player, but PES 11 has more realistic player movements, it just looks more real for some reason to me, the ball touch is more realistic then fifa/

@Messiman14 no. ultimate team is to arcadey (contracts take the piss which destroys MY experience) but chemistry is very handy and in depth, as you sed. players jumping adds into the tackling, where they jump rather than fall, and if they do fall, then they get back up straight after :/
@TheJoshider I wonder if they have World Cup qualifiers, African nations cup qualifier, Euro championship qualifier, Including the preminary rounds before you can get in to the qualifiers. They should have every national team. Also Englands strip doesnt look good. They should have 2001-2011 strips of all country's. Or a patch that can be updatable to have licensed and future players for teams. On 2010 the patch gets in the way and once you update the game. The players get mixed up.
Honestly from experience in this field PES's gameplay is as an exciting as fifa 08 on ps3 it is really bad and needs alot of help the gamemodes and the become a legend is better than become a pro in fifa gameplay sucks no one in my country plays it it is way to bad even for my money sorry
PES still fails with the fact that they still don't have enough licenses & enough leagues. Initially, I really hated the passing system but i guess you get used to it after a while, but it still sucks! I like the game, but what annoys my most is the shot bar! Its too damn sensitive! I have both on installed on my PC. At first I thought FIFA was better cause PES has a pretty tough learning curve. Now a few weeks later I dont even touch FIFA anymore because it feels way too arcade-like. PES is a much better challenge and the game play a hell of a lot more rewarding once you get the feel of it.

this game is utter shite. after playing for a few months i must say this is the worse PES i have ever played in terms of gameplay. the only thing that has improved is the graphics but THATS IT. I dont even know where to start to, the shooting is horrendous, players are unresponsive and feel "slow" to react.

Got this for PC,, a few flaws that almost make it not fun to play. Your teamates stand and stare at loose balls. The new passing system is a little iffy,, you can do some crazy plays, but chances are you'll be passing it to nobody. On defense, ur cursor will constantly switch. Sometimes you'll press backwards to run the other way, but keey running forward, on defense. If you do buy this, its better than fifa, but get a few extra controllers, cause you beat the ish out of them playing this
I got to say that PES is better then fifa in every way with the gameplay (exept the cursor changing system) But whats wrong in online is the money and rating system:
In one D4 cup i got payed 87.000 first when i won then 100.000 when i lost (they had almost same rating). The payout seames random, feels like u get the same money from losing or winning. And the rating, I got the same +rating when i won against D1 player (im D4) as i got from winning against a D5.
i have all pes games on the ps3 and 2011 is the worst i played. first of all the shooting, i play for a lot of ours and i still dont get how to shoot correctly to a corner and there is no tutorial for it only made by other players online. a lot of times when the ball is for their feet they just wont pick it up, the opponent takes it and scores so easy it feels like its a setup. edited players wont function like the already programmed players and thats fucked up. fix it or loose fans.

ive got both fifa 11 and pes 11... ive loved pes but this year fifa is the one, once you zoom in the stupid camera view, which you can sort out in settings, fifa is just perfect!, commenty and music very impressive!, and i love it when you score you can do your own celebrations adds to the fun, however pes is a lot harder this year, due to the new pass mechanic, it takes along time to score, but in time you get alot better at it!, the thing that does my nut in is the commentry!! shiit!

I seem to recall how I was thrilled to play PES5, with brand new graphics, mechanics and all. This is nowhere near that experience.

In the end, its the licensing that kills me, I wanna be able to play as players and teams I see in real life, not some lame generic "London FC" Sports games actually help me learn about teams and players I wouldn't know about, especially since fifa has a shit load of clubs from around the world that i don't usually get to see in real life, I love to get to know them in the game through the different modes. I'm sorry, thats always gonna give fifa a LOT of points to me.

I always been a fifa player, but PES 11 has more realistic player movements, it just looks more real for some reason to me, the ball touch is more realistic then fifa/

@alienwarelaptop100 I totally agree, when fifa players do a spin move its all super fast and the ball just sticks to them like a magnet, but in PES11 it looks like they're actually controlling the ball.

@blacklite911 Yes man, thats exactly what iv been trying to tell people, i mean dont get me wrong i love FIFA, its a great game, has all the licenses, teams, commentary is good, graphics, BUT still has this unrealistic ball touch feel, even fifa11 still feels very robotic and the ball sticks like you said, whereas in PES the ball is very natural, it bounces off players feet and does not perfectly (like a magnet) come to the players feet like fifa...PES is much more realistic, thanks for the comm

problems with pes:
-tackling is shit (everything is a foul)
-free kicks are stupid
-the game aims where the game wants and it has very little, if not any effect on where i aim.
then tbh everything else is good. i would say produce better facial animations because thats all pes have done is stuck a picture of the footballer and stuck it down to a model, but hey, at least its better than fifas. ML is much better the CM. sort ot these problems konami (for me) and pes gets the win. my opinion.

@Messiman14 no. ultimate team is to arcadey (contracts take the piss which destroys MY experience) but chemistry is very handy and in depth, as you sed. players jumping adds into the tackling, where they jump rather than fall, and if they do fall, then they get back up straight after :/

- manual control sux
- VEEERY overrated 1-touch card. I mean how can a professional player not hit an empty goal a few metres in front of him?
- lack of tutorial (training is no tutorial) from PES 06 for example
- if you hold the ball your teammates go back to your line instead of running into space
- heading - you have to manually control your player into the ball else even Messi will win a head against Vidic

@TheJoshider I wonder if they have World Cup qualifiers, African nations cup qualifier, Euro championship qualifier, Including the preminary rounds before you can get in to the qualifiers. They should have every national team. Also Englands strip doesnt look good. They should have 2001-2011 strips of all country's. Or a patch that can be updatable to have licensed and future players for teams. On 2010 the patch gets in the way and once you update the game. The players get mixed up.

Honestly from experience in this field PES's gameplay is as an exciting as fifa 08 on ps3 it is really bad and needs alot of help the gamemodes and the become a legend is better than become a pro in fifa gameplay sucks no one in my country plays it it is way to bad even for my money sorry

PES still fails with the fact that they still don't have enough licenses & enough leagues. Initially, I really hated the passing system but i guess you get used to it after a while, but it still sucks! I like the game, but what annoys my most is the shot bar! Its too damn sensitive! I can't count how many goals I have missed! Oh well, in a nutshell, I have both FIFA 11 & PES 2011.....and I enjoy both!

I have been playing fifa since fifa 98 on pc. i've won competitions and basically u can say i am a fifa baby. But fifa11 is the worst fifa to date. this game is so bad that i only play pes 2011. i will never play that pile of manure ever again. the ai is downright retarded and the referees seem to lack sight and their whistle. ea i'm sorry but you guys have failed miserably and until improvement is made i will telling everyone not to buy your cookie cutter game. hope u lose the license in 2014.

I have both on installed on my PC. At first I thought FIFA was better cause PES has a pretty tough learning curve. Now a few weeks later I dont even touch FIFA anymore because it feels way too arcade-like. PES is a much better challenge and the game play a hell of a lot more rewarding once you get the feel of it.

Ok FIFA 11 is better gameplay and stuff, but we need champions league that beginning session this game was way to realistic, and made me love the graphic's, the replays and celebrations are impressive in here, but ya we should combine or atleast get champions league for FIFA 11, but PES is still impressive , FIFA 11 owns though!

This way, they just keep repacking the same old piece of shit year after year 'cos they know suckers will buy it anyway! Wake up call, everybody! Let's make those assholes give us a game we deserve! We need some real improvements, not minor tweaks unworthy of mentioning or gameplay that's a major step backwards! Comparing to some other games, graphics can also be considered outdated.

But silly little things annoy me, like the same newspaper reports every week, when you get 2-3 years into the career you can't buy anyone because they're to loyal, you don't lift trophies when you win them and the most annoying this is that the people who are willing to spend money with EA get the best teams on UT. this game is utter shite. after playing for a few months i must say this is the worse PES i have ever played in terms of gameplay. the only thing that has improved is the graphics but THATS IT. I dont even know where to start to, the shooting is horrendous, players are unresponsive and feel "slow" to react.
i should know what i'm talking about, i've been playing since the days of Goal Storm (better google that if you have no clue).

Got this for PC,, a few flaws that almost make it not fun to play. Your teamates stand and stare at loose balls. The new passing system is a little iffy,, you can do some crazy plays, but chances are you'll be passing it to nobody. On defense, ur cursor will constantly switch. Sometimes you'll press backwards to run the other way, but keey running forward, on defense. If you do buy this, its better than fifa, but get a few extra controllers, cause you beat the ish out of them playing this

I got to say that PES is better then fifa in every way with the gameplay (exept the cursor changing system) But whats wrong in online is the money and rating system:
In one D4 cup i got payed 87.000 first when i won then 100.000 when i lost (they had almost same rating). The payout seames random, feels like u get the same money from losing or winning. And the rating, I got the same +rating when i won against D1 player (im D4) as i got from winning against a D5.

i have all pes games on the ps3 and 2011 is the worst i played. first of all the shooting, i play for a lot of ours and i still dont get how to shoot correctly to a corner and there is no tutorial for it only made by other players online. a lot of times when the ball is for their feet they just wont pick it up, the opponent takes it and scores so easy it feels like its a setup. edited players wont function like the already programmed players and thats fucked up. fix it or loose fans.

The passing system is interesting. But the passes are often out of place !!! But the game menu is nice.
The gameplay is worse than PES2010.

ive got both fifa 11 and pes 11... ive loved pes but this year fifa is the one, once you zoom in the stupid camera view, which you can sort out in settings, fifa is just perfect!, commenty and music very impressive!, and i love it when you score you can do your own celebrations adds to the fun, however pes is a lot harder this year, due to the new pass mechanic, it takes along time to score, but in time you get alot better at it!, the thing that does my nut in is the commentry!! shiit!

@MysteryTube91x Actually, at this point, both franchises seem outdated and lame. I mean, if current PES title was to hit the market back in, say, 2005, it would undoubtedly be an epic game. But, by today's standards, no way! Players look like a moving statues, sound is horrible and there's not even a second opinion on that, and gameplay... Well, it just sucks. I seem to recall how I was thrilled to play PES5, with brand new graphics, mechanics and all. This is nowhere near that experience.
