it must be hard to campaign against a guy, that truly redefines the word politician. We associate 'politician' with people lacking personability and affection, but Obama really shows those traits, not to mention he is believable and seemingly true to his words. Go Barack Husein Obama! New Zealand loves you!
The latest world poll shows Barack Obama leading McCain 90%-10%. Americans should please what the world wants. =) So vote for Obama this coming November. God Bless America and the Humankind!
I was there!! It was amazing. Electing Barack Obama as president will be the best thing this country could do. He has more class, dignity and integrity than any candidate in years. Obama WILL be the next president of the United States!
am from the uk and we only wish it was like this in the Uk as in the us where people are judged by the knowledge they have and the ability they have or the good standards for there country. barack will not only be good for the USA but also for foreign relations as the world is already supporting him as the favourite... why? fairness, polite, good deeds and caring is only the tip of what he has.
Thank you Barack for running a respectful race. All your suppoters are with you while this campaign comes to an end. Wilth all the smear attacks and roadblocks they put before you,you held you own and did not stoop under pressure. We admire you for the leader you have shown us and we believe in the direction you can take this country. To all the supporters. Thanks for standing by him.Together and maybe with a better minded HC supportes we can go all the way to the oval office. Go Obama 2008/2009!

I'm fed up with people saying Obama is "just" an inspirational speaker. What does it take to make an inspirational speaker? A powerful message; a masterful knowledge of the subject matter; a profound connection to his audience; an obvious sincerity and caring; an ability to inspire the audience to higher ideals. We have a gargantuan task ahead of us to dig out of the pit Bush has dug us into. It's going to take someone with every one of these qualities to lead us out of it.
Who do you think would be better Hillary Clinton?? John mcCain? He vitoed a boeing deal that ended up going to Airbus, and he wants to keep the troops in Iraq... how american is that? Not to mention he is a Christian imperialist, one who believes that only Christians should be in office - that is not democratic - the nation is founded contrary to popular Christian belief - not on Christian imperialism, but the variety of religions and opinions working together for a strong union of states
75000+ people impressive He is likely to be the next Pres of the great old US of A! But if any of his supports think that he will have the troops home by summer of 2009 you're dreaming. The USA has many other countries involved now (Poland, Canada, France, Britian etc) that have all made committments with the USA til at least 2011! So he will get into office and things will not change over night maybe not even in the first or 2nd year but maybe just maybe....2011 just in time for Nov. 2012!!
Oh, and as for the comment lomaxrobert made about not being able to respect and admire our president? Well, lets just say that there is only about a .01% chance that you're from a country that The United States of America doesn't provide some sort of aid to. If you need some sort of inspiration for that respect, think back to June of 1944, when we bailed out the ENTIRE European community. You guys in Europe have enough problems, stop worrying about ours.
Obama will bring back honesty and decency and honor to the country. Our government is in dire straights because of all the screw ups of Bush/Cheney. War mongering, hate and evil will leave the whitehouse when Bush/Cheney leave and Obama and family are in as our President and first family.
Spongebob '08. and lets put Patrick at V.P. They have more brains than all other candidates on either side combined. open your eyes people. true leadership quality is staring at us every morning from the living room T.V. set. I can just hear millions of kids (and adults by the way) chanting "Spongebob! Spongebob! Spongebob!" In the word of Squarepants himself "I'M READY!!!"
i wanted to go to this. i was messing around with some friends in the park the day before it and they were setting the stage...i thought it would be some concert or something but a dude told me "obama, tommorow" wish i could have made it this guy really knows what we need now. change.
I with obama he inspires me as a black man,but no one can change in the world maybe he can change somethings if thats what you meant but the worlds seems like a little much..
Go Obama. The best Americans have always been both curious and worldly, often with some kind of mixed heritage, and they have always carried their religion in their heart and head, instead of on their sleeve as a crude advertisement. Finally a President Americans can be proud of, and a US president we outside the US can respect and admire, instead of ....you know.
OMG... I was almost late returning my ballot that was due on the 20th.. fortunately the headquarters was by the college, so I made a quick stop there...it was freaking worth it!!! OBAMA ALLLLLL DDDAAAAAA WAAAAYYYYYYY!!! Oregon College Student!
All of Africa from Senegal to Cameroon to Somalia and from the North to South is yearning for Obama. This is very serious for us as we look forward to a New and Inspiring beginning for the lone superpower!
I am spanish, and I hope Barack Obama as the next president of the USA. And according to some studies, a 62% of the spanish population want as president Obama, to 34% that want McCain.
And some fool made a big deal of a "supposedly unrelated concert" that was held at this location just prior to Obama speaking. If that concert WAS held, and if they didn't care or want to hear Obama speakingm they had the full ability to leave.
However, the crowd didn't diminish, so, obviously, they wanted to hear him and they came out there for the purpose of hearing him!
He's got the nomination on-lock, but I encourage him to keep up the campaigning!
Barack Obama is the most exciting thing to happen to America since Jack and Bobby Kennedy. Unlike his Democratic opponent, he is honest, sincere and believes in what is right for our country. He has run a clean campaign and has handled Hillary's vile and vicious comments with dignity. A 75,000 turnout in Oregon says it all. He will be the Democratic nominee AND our 44th President. I love this man! I can't wait for January 20, 2009! He IS the one.
Canada is for Obama, many of you live in the U.S. so you may not understand how your current president could be any of our business but from a NON AMERICAN MEDIA PERSPECTIVE(which would mean a realistic one and NOT ONE SIDED) The current president has only created more hatred FOR ALL AMERICANS AROUND THE WORLD. YES, HE HAS SINGLE HANDEDLY ISOLATED YOU ALL. A white american told my friend that she'd never vote for a black man. Centuries of that kind of ignorance is what got you here. Vote Obama.
I am without a doubt a definite OBarack Obama supporter. If he wins this thing which i am sure he will, he should make Hilary his vice president. Imagine the stuff they BOTH could accomplish in office at the same time..
Bahamas wish we could vote Obama too!!!! It is the hope of better that you vote for. Not the man himself but the mission. It's time for Americans to regain controll of their country and help fix the world that was so badly broken. To lead a super nation you need a superman. We need America to get this one right!!!
According to a poll, a majority of Canadian would like to share their own federal election's vote to vote in the american general election. And Obama would win 59% to 15% for McCain.
I just came back from Normandy,France where they are following this very closely too, they're overwhelmingly for Obama.
A world survey shows Obama leading McCain in general elections by 95% to 5% of which 1% from Israel, 1% from Japan, 1% from Jordan and 2% from USA. For the first time in human history the whole world rallies behind a president of the free world. Let's make the world a better place to live, let's prevent the world from desintegration, lets pray for Obame to win the nomination and the presidency of the Free World.
Considering McCain lobbied to send a 100 billion dollar Air Force contract and more than 40,000 high tech jobs to France, I would think they would prefer McCain.
Your point is.... Seriously does anyone care what Canadians think? The Pakistanis would support McCain 3-1 because he has not threated to invade their country, (as did Obama) in search for Osama Bin laden. Does that mean we should not vote for Barack Obama.
I was blessed to stand just 50 feet away from Obama when he delivered this powerful and very memorable speech. I am very proud to be an Oregonian and thank my neighbors for having voted as well, as Obama reached a large victory here tonight. Keep going Obama!!!
the crowd is amazing - Obama is quite aware of the moment and what is happening, but Hope, Idealism, Inspiration, Optimism... is it enough? I think so, but I'm an Idealist/Optimist so it's hard for me to lok at it any other way.
Oh, I can definitely see my face out there ... actually I was so far in the back I couldn't even see the stage! But at least I got in. It was spectacular! What an inspiration! Too bad I can't vote yet ... :(
You can still convince everyone who *is* old enough to vote. Once you can talk with a little authority on some of Obama's positions, talk to your grandparents, your cousins, your uncles and aunts, your teachers and older friends, the bus driver if you sit on one...you get the picture.
Obama's inspiring people all across the world, including this Singaporean. :) Don't let America's golden age fade away!
okay Oregon, if you really like Obama as much as you say you do...actually GO TO THE FRICKIN POLLS! Don't wait for someone else to do it from you and don't just expect a delegate to get it done. Learn from the Ohio incident. If you're under 40, GET OUT AND VOTE! You're greatly outnumbered by the boomers who seem to prefer Clinton for some reason. Obama vs. McCain will be much more entertaining than Clinton vs. McCain in the general election. Just trust me on this one.
i think Obama is a great person because he that this race is not about him its about the people that support him and want to see a change in the county that we live in.
i defy the gop,the repubblican pundits, the right wing talk radio, anybody on the right,to name a conservative candidate that runned anytime in history, that gathered a croud of 75000 people!
Why do people in the crowd hold signs saying "vote obama"? I doubt any hilary clinton fans are going to reconsider thier views on a presidential election bcause of a sign. But then again we know what americans are like...
Why do companies buy sponsorship banners? You can say the same about that and it's exactly in the same mindset. As a collective in this case it show enthusiasm people will notice such a huge enthusiastic crowd and may think twice.
Yes, so maybe next time they'll make a sign saying Vote Obama and underneath list his entire campaign goals. What the hell kind of point is that? It's a damn sign. Idiot.
I don't understand why people bash Obama,One thing that can be said is that when he becomes president, he will bring us in the right direction. A direction of prosperity, freedom, and a feeling of patriotism something that hasn't been felt in a long while.
Barack Obama really needs to be our next President! In the beginning of this video when it showed him and his kids with Michelle, I became teary eyed. It shows his love for his children and his character.
The greatest threat to the united states and to the world, is not the possibility that Iran will have nukes, not global warmning, not world war three or sudden Climate Change...no..no..no... the greatest threat to America and to the world is Stupidity.
... Vote For Change... Or just curl up in your corner and continue to cry about the way things are!
Give Obama,America and the world A shot at Peace! Put down the guns and lets talk, you might like somebody!
God Bless this man. But as a black woman, I just don't think he is going to win. If he does, life as we know it will change. Finally black children will truly feel equal, truly worthy, truly free...to be anything ...even President. This is too great to be true. I don't want get my hopes up just to be let down. Why do I feel like we will wake up from this Obama dream, and face the reality of a McCain presidency and gas at $5.00 a gallon, no health care, and economic collapse
He will not just change America but he gonna make the world a better place to live .. we need a good president here not making stupid decisions .... Go Obama !!!
Words to the so-called conservative christians: Christ was more like a socialist, he came for everybody, more so for the poors, the afflicted. Christ would not say, well, I don't think the government should spend my tax dollar on those who need it. Look how much the government is spending on Iraq.
I am tired of listen to Sean Hannity saying obama is going to take your tax dollar and give it to the poor and at the same time calling himself a conservative christian.
Gullible.... Let's talk about who we(Americans) was Gullible for, yes thats right, BUSH!. Electing him for a second term, even though he got us in a war, base on an lie.
Now, if Obama can do half on what he said to us, then he's doing much more to help America, then Bush ever did.

That's because Canada and europe are smart :]
Dandaman95 3 years ago 2

ElleEyeDee 3 years ago 30

Why do people in the crowd hold signs saying "vote obama"? I doubt any hilary clinton fans are going to reconsider thier views on a presidential election bcause of a sign. But then again we know what americans are like...
LAMBMIESTER 3 years ago
@LAMB
Why do companies buy sponsorship banners? You can say the same about that and it's exactly in the same mindset. As a collective in this case it show enthusiasm people will notice such a huge enthusiastic crowd and may think twice.

maybe some undecided voters went to see what Obama was like in person?
