  • I thought this had an intro where Anton said something about the song?

  • Sounds better than the actual version which I thought was kinda wimpy

  • great!! anton fig is a fantastic drummer!

  • Awesome tune very impressed with Anton Fig. Ace rocks and love Tod Howwed's guitar and vocals.

  • ahh, the budokan in action!

  • Anton Fig Rocks!!

  • WOW! That KICKED ASS! What a treat to see ANTON FIG tearing it up! That's a lean mean version of Frehley's Comet right there."Breakout" rocks!

  • Is Paul Stanley in vocals and 2d guitar? haha or is he a PS clone?? [^_^]

Cheers from Buenos Aires Rock City, Argentina!

  • This version of Frehley's Comet is awesome!!!... That's an awesome jam... Can't like enough!!!...

  • Awesome...my guitar god!

  • I totally dig this tune awsome especially the guitar off solo just EPIC woop i love ace frehley

  • check out Ace's book No Regrets, then read the book KISS & Tell. Funny stuff!

  • That drummer is really really goood tooo

  • @Ulai777 I agree!

  • Anton Fig played on some Swans stuff

  • ACE FREHLEY!!! NEED I SAY ANY MORE? SURUBFREP

  • Anton fig is the man!

  • The drummer is just epic!

  • Bitchin' ass..... I can dig that jam......

  • Not really rare. This was from Anton Fig's drum clinic video.

  • Ace Rules.. Love his Book!!

  • I liked it..!!

  • This is Carr Jam?!

  • @Paulstanley38 yes actually, good ears. Break Out was written by Carr and Frehley before Carr's death. Carr Jam was a the studio solo to Break Out before the song was finished

  • This performance is from Electric Lady studios in New York. Im Impressed by this. Scarlet sounds great. Thats studio A, The room I recorded in with Mike Starr and Ray Gillen with my band Sun Red Sun in 1993.

  • @ALBERTromano1965 sounds cool!

  • This sucks!

  • ace RULES

  • anton is the fucking man

  • kicks ass!!!!! fucking AWESOME..

  • This song kicks SO much ass. All u "wannbes", sitdown, shutup, & take notes. ;)

    \m/ o_0 \m/

  • BETTER THAN KISS!

  • ACE ROCKS AND ALWAYS WILL!!!! KISS CAN'T REPLACE THE SPACEMAN!!!

  • AWESOME...ACE ROCKS!

  • This is the only Frehley's Comet video I've liked so far.

  • Anton Fig playing in a garage band...thats a good one, douche

  • this is better than anything KISS has done without Ace Frehley

  • What year was this?

  • Yup. Anton Fig...just looked it up.

  • Is that Paul Schaffer's drummer from Letterman?

  • sounds like a descent garage band...wonder if Ace can set up a lemonade stand in his front yard, invite grandma and the local neighbors over. And have a big jam session.--Wooohoo...

  • @Wayneman117 Sounding like a garage band can be a good thing. That's where some of the best stuff comes from. It sounds better than a lot of the crap coming out these days.

  • @scourge34 Hey ignore this guy, he's only pissed off at the world because Ace's lemonade stand would make more money then his entire lifes work.YA ! thats you I'm talking about waynegirl117.

  • Excellent!

  • Comment removed

  • That was really good.

  • Besides Peter Criss, Anton Fig would be the only other Ace would work with. He shined in Ace's 1st solo album, KISS' Dynasty and Unmasked, and Ace's recent solo album, Anomaly.

  • @van76 not true...ace has had many other drummers

  • @theawakener7 Fuck off. He just plays some moderately-impressive-not-overly-melodic shredding cliches. Everything Ace does is melodic a badass

  • the singer doesn't have the range to sing this song preoperly

  • @TheMullerFan I hate to say it, Paul Stanley would have been great on this one.

  • @scourge34 id love to say paul stanley would be great on this song haha

  • Scarlett does NOT destroy Ace on this one. They play completely different styles and I think they complement each other. Playing guitar is not all about speed. Youngsters think it is. Look at guys like Jimmy Page and Joe Perry. They can play fast if they want to but they usually play more tastefully.

  • that drummer is KILLING IT!!!! dang..lol

  • @mikieson That'd be Anton Fig, or for early Letterman fans, Anton Zip

  • The singer sings like Peter Criss

  • Anton Figg is ruling the kit in this video!

  • Who is singing?????

  • @RawleighLeeRoth that is Ritchie Scarlett singing and playing his butt off. Enjoy. Ritchie is known as the Emperor!

  • OMG! I GOT THE SAME SHIRT THAT ACE HAS, THE PURPLE ONE!

  • I have very much love and respect for Ace and the boys. Great version of this Eric Carr written epic anthem!!!

  • @KevReborn not to ruin anything with the respect you have for ace but back in the day ace would go and dress up as jews and crap and one night he came to gene room hammered drunkdressed up and hitler and was saying i am hitler i am hitler........then one night he did a shooting and shot hisself had to go to the hospital and gene asked him why and he responded well if the jews would learn how to make a machine gun this wouldnt have happened..... so he really had no respect for kiss and gene/paul

  • @guitarman8759 Good morning bro, I can't comment on Ace's charachter as a human, but it is his talent that I respected in my comment. I have read Gene's books and afew others by people who were close to Ace in the past so I understand and agree with what you are saying to me. I need to be more specific with my comments. Take care and God bless you.

  • @KevReborn :) thanks and you to

  • This is the Comets at their best. High energy. Wish Scarlett had been a part of the first 2 studio albums. Probably would have changed the outcome. Not to deny Howarth his talents but he softened the edge somewhat. Also wish Anton could have been the permanent drummer. His playing is phenomenal. Eric Carr (Breakout's co-writer) would be proud to see how well this thing has held up. It STILL rocks and is one of the best tracks on the Comets' first disc.

  • Ritchies solo rips.

  • i'm still waiting for footage of Ace & Anton in the studio recording Rip It Out from 1978

  • @racecar06 Is there any footage of that ever made?

  • this is fucking great

  • yes, that is Richie.Tod was the biggest mistake that Ace made with Frehley's Comet, the dude was way to wimpy in his singing and playing. This song is MUCH better with Richie.

  • Bad Ass Video! Anton has been Rockin' with Ace since the first solo LP in 1978 He's Lettermans Drummer. I disagree with the dude before me, this singer has bigger balls than Tod. I THINK it might be Richie Scarlett. Can anyone confirm that? Oh yah, ACE RULES!

  • @jh95123 hey that is definitely Ritchie Scarlett

  • Much better version is with Tod Howarth singing instead of this guy...

  • That's Anton Fig. He's pretty badassed.

  • Who is the drummer ? he grooves like nobody's busyness I'm impressed

  • fking awsm!

  • killer solos!!

  • That is the guitar part from Carr Jam 81. Ace Frehely wrote the original guitar part and has the writing credit and released it as Breakout on his first solo album. Carr Jam 81 has Bruce Kulick overdubbed guitar parts. Ace had to have written the guitar part or as we all know Gene Simmons would have sued the pants off of him for stealing KISS music.

  • @dp153f Ace & Eric both have writing credits for this tune....well know this....BUT what I don't understand is, IF they co-wrote it, why wasn't Ace's name in the credits on "Carr Jam"

  • @dp153f Im sure we can all agree that Gene is checp, but this wouldnt have been the first time they shared music with Ace, even though there were some tension between Ace and Kiss Paul allowed Ace to put one of his songs (hide your heart) on Ace's Album Trouble walkin

  • such a BOMB!!! ready to blow!!! :D

  • the guitar intro sound like the one in Caar jam 81

  • Great video and song! Ace and Richie Scarlett=awesome!

  • ACE RULES ! ! !

  • of*

  • Someone please tell me the riff reminds them off "Carr Jam" off of KISS- Revenge?

  • @LestrangeTV yup same riff.ace and eric recorded carr jam years before breakout, then after eric died bruce added lead guitar on the track and they put it on revenge.

  • WOW how cool!!!

  • the intro kinda remind me of " the immigrant song" by led zeppelin

  • Awsome clip!

  • when is this from?

  • Anton Fig played on Dynasty and Ace's 78 solo album.

  • @tdanielsmnr And Unmasked...

  • @zombiedrummerkissfan

    ...and Dynasty!

  • @darthinfurnus All But Dirty Livin'!!!

  • THis Rocks!!! It certainly kicks any KISS song from that era....Again I say, KISS just ain't KISS without ACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is the guy singing here the guy who sang 2 young 2 die? or was that peter?

  • @n2112bytor2112p --Correct. Ritchie Scarlet was a on again, off again member of Ace's band. Ritchie sang both songs. Good ear my friend. Ritchie was in the band in the beginning. He left when Ace had problems getting a record contract. He had to move on and make money somewhere else. He remained a good friend to Ace and returned to his band several times during the 1990's.

  • What's the name of his band?

  • I liked tod! excellent guitarist!

  • tod howarth killed this version.

  • NICE DRUMS!! Ace Frehley & The Comet rockin' out!! Tod Howarth was incredible in the Band too

  • Anton Fig's drums are amazing on this song.

  • this kicks aSS!

  • Awesome! Ace rocks the house!

  • Anton Fig on drums WOW...!!!

  • never saw this. thanks for posting!

  • It's nice to see what was really cool about Kiss without the hype.

  • Whaddya mean "never before seen"?! it's on Anton Fig's educational drumming video "Late Night Drumming" released by DCI and Warner Brothers in 1994.

  • UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
