There is a reason why Silent Hill 1&3 are connected and part 2 isn't. They used different teams too write the script for 1&2 but the original team came back for part 3

I likely won't be doing any of the games that came after that, but I am considering going back and doing SH1. I know I already covered it on Still Gaming, but that was only a review, and not a detailed retrospective like what I've been doing on The Game Den.

I've only played Silent Hill 2, loved it but it introduced me to the music and though I never played any of the other games I simply fell in love with ALL the music from each and every game out there.

SH2 had really good music, but SH3 was the first one where I really took notice and fell in love with the music--probably helped that the soundtrack was included with the game =P

SH4's music is possibly even better, but it has a very different feel to it, so it's hard to compare the two.

Heh, I actually touch on that in one of the later installments =P But basically, I'm not too excited about Shattered Memories, but I plan on giving it a fair chance.

I complained about Homecoming being too combat-oriented, but I think having NO combat is taking it a bit far =P
