  • Yo estuve al otro lado del Mapocho... Y se escuchaba igual de bn... Genial!

  • who's the drummer,anybody knows?

  • @kapdrums Kendrick Scott

  • Mister tippy toe DJ right there is a pretty good guitar player too!

  • ohhh. thanks so much for that. this is just awesome. estupendo!!

    thx!

  • Yeah!!!!!!!!

  • Go Sco Go !!

  • No maaaaa esta chingon!

  • He's squirting the shit out of his guitar, damn

  • ohh man this is AMAZING!!!!!!. What cymbals are those?

  • Michael Scofield real Dad's

This is the ultimate

  • NO offense to these good musicians. John Pattitucci couldn't be funky if he played in The Ohio Players from now until the end. John is always amazing, but I saw this same song with his Ray Charles project at the elrey in LA. They were the real deal. Steve Hass had all these cool sounds and a deep funk. So did John Benitez. One of his best bands that could play jazz and funk. This trio is a throw away. A pick up band.

  • check out the other video by elBassmanU its exactly the same though for some reason it is much mor funky and groovy.

  • Scofield is the best! Always looking for new ways to sound different. Looping sounds great. Pattituci is having the best time.

  • genius

  • cool !

  • Scofield is really a genius ! Thanks for sharing this unbelievable solo

  • exelente presentacion, grandioso musico

  • sh..t, ain't that good!

  • sco has a great tone.

  • anyone know what sort of scale he is using for improvising? or that i could use?

  • he doesnt follow scales much. but its written in b flat blues

  • he uses scales, arpeggios chromaticisms, plays in substitute keys and uses parallel motion (playing the same idea in different places one after the other) in this video. i heard he uses the diminished scale a lot to get that "out" sound too. but i think for this tune he's using (beleive it or not) the pentatonic scale with a major 6th in the scale a lot of the time along w/above mentioned stuff. SCO IS KING!

  • Correction: Hottentot is from A Go GO, not Bump. It is so devastating what he does to his own songs! Amazing. Anything is possible. Take away the organ and he takes the song in a new direction. Total inspiration.

  • yea its patitucci on bass..what song is this?

  • It's from the album Bump and called 'Hottentot.'

  • It is Hottentot, but it's from the album 'A Go Go' with Medeski, Martin and Wood...

  • I'm sorry, from the A Go Go album, not bump.

  • what can I say... SCO is the king

  • estuve en el concierto fue EXTRAORDINARIO...ver a esos musicasos es todo un lujo...una experiencia unica, los tres estuvieros Geniales.

  • Teh Sco rocks the mike! N1!

  • Genius...wonderful, creative, forceful. Sco is the Ninja of modern jazz guitar.
