Great idea on the interviews dude. As far as recording goes, Camtasia may be your best bet; then you can crop the portion of the screen that you want to use. I use a Mac, but if I was going to do it, I would use ScreenFlow (which is pretty much Camtasia's equivalent).
What is the one that comes with skype? A friend and me were looking into it and found a program but im not sure what program you are talking about, take care man
@spundy08 the one that actually comes with skype I can't remember the name of, but I use Supertintin recording. the first video won't have the call recorded though...it took me forever and a day to figure out all the settings correctly
Hey man! So I've heard nothing but good praise about Sony Vega Pro for software from other youtubers :) and i think if u get a capture card you may be able to film more than one thing side by side, that's how they do lots of guitar hero vids lol. Lookin forward to ur interviews! Thumbs up! :D
Two computers. One running skype and a screen record program, and one running pro-tools or your choice of audio software. You'll need a"Y" splitter.
Headphone/output from skype computer goes to audio computer.
Mic goes to Y split into skype computer and the y sends a split signal back to the audio computer. Pull the screen record in and split it into 2 vid layers. If that doesn't work, just screen record the interviewee on skype and put a second cam on you.
@RetroRoadshow sweet dude, thanks for the advice. I actually found a program online that allows me to record Skype video calls side by side like that. I'll try it and see how it works first though.

Third, Now this is tricky. You will have to get the voice audio off of Skype and make it match with the mouth speech in the videos. I promise you that it can get difficult to do that or it can be extremely easy.
