This is just useless. It will read speed limit signs valid only for trucks or when the road is wet. Also the speed limit is cancelled by the first intersection following the sign in many countries, the machine can't read that.

These systems just reduce the overall cautiousness of the driver, which is a WAY more important thing than obeying speed limits

well in montreal, there are 2 signs for speed. Minimum is 60km/h and maximum is 100km/h. Which one will it choose? i hope it chooses the fastest one...

well when youre trying to rush your dying wife to the hospital driving 70mph, in a 25mph zone, the opel eye will sense youre speeding and automatically correct your speed, and reduce the chances of you hitting anyone else. because the lives of other people are more important than your wifes.
