He was beside Edwards before the two cars made contact and because of the rule about the yellow line Brad had nowhere to go when Edwards moved down the track to get the low line. MX isn't on the circut anymore. I think it was just to introduce Mexico to NASCAR to help start the NASCAR series in Mexico. The Glen is on the Nwide schedule though, both races in August.

Well Regan Smith found out that it's a lie, so Brad had no option but to hold his line and not give in to Carl, which Carl acknowledged. It's a shame NASCAR cannot enforce a rule.

yeah they dont, they race on road coarses 2 TIMES A YEAR!!! Hahahaha And even when they do that, half the field switches to road racing drivers... Its because their tiny little brains arent big enough to navigate left AND RIGHT... Dont get me wrong I like some drivers, Stewart, Edwards, Montoya, Mears, Rudd, and Martin.. but the rest can go to hell...

Actually there is 3 road courses but do to the Swine Flu issue the Mexico City Race scheduled for this week was cancelled but that is also a road course

Incorrect. 2 road courses in Sprint Cup, Sonoma and Watkins Glen, and 2 in Nationwide, Mexico City and Montreal.

MX isn't on the circut anymore. I think it was just to introduce Mexico to NASCAR to help start the NASCAR series in Mexico. The Glen is on the Nwide schedule though, both races in August.

Oh and he wouldnt have lived, if that woulda flipped over, and landed at an angle upside down... the cage isnt designed to hold a crash like that upside. Its only good to crash on its sides.

Such an ass backwards sport! Clearly the idea was to nudge Edwards' car on the bumper to spin him out of the way. Primitive NASCAR thinks that's OK, even if it results in fans getting airlifted to the hospital, one with a broken jaw. I'm surprised a fan didn't lose an eye!
When someone gets killed or a fan or their family sues NASCAR, they will regulate it!

I have to say this is one of the coolest wrecks I have ever seen, I can't believe he survived that! I was like, Oh hell he isn't going to come out of this alive....He got lucky! It's amazing he was able to get out and run the finish line, I felt real bad for those fans that got injured though, and too bad he didn't win the race =[

This happened because of NASCAR's lack of enforcing the rule. They originally claimed that if you're forced below the line, you're fine. Well Regan Smith found out that it's a lie, so Brad had no option but to hold his line and not give in to Carl, which Carl acknowledged. It's a shame NASCAR cannot enforce a rule.
But they got the fireworks they wanted.

for all you dumbasses out there: nascar did nothing wrong. the fence did its job and protected the fans. this is racing at talledega, its close and wild, thats what makes it so fun to watch. no one wants to watch 43 cars run around a 2.6 mile track all spread out and single for 4 hours. and finally these drivers get paid ALOT of money to run these cars, they know the danger; this isnt supposed to be all easy and gentle, its a contact sport so get over it and stop your bitching.

In the driver's meeting at both Daytona and Talladega, NASCAR emphasizes no passing below the double yellow line no matter what. Keselowski was simply following the rules stated by NASCAR.
Edwards actually said something about knowing it wasn't Brad's fault due to that rule post-race. Just go back to last year, then you'll see what happens when the exact same situation occurs and you DO go below the double yellow line.
