I LOVE precision. Whether it is a high end, tubed audiophile system, a tight German car, a gorgeous Italian Moto-Guzzi twin cycle, a high end Ham Radio (look up Yaesu FTDX-9000 or Icom IC-7800), or a Leica camera. There is something inherently pleasing about owning and using well made, top notch, world class products.
I like Seal's endorsement of the camera - shows that he's really into his photography! Sure, he's talking up this $23K camera for this "commercial," but he really showed that he's passionate about his hobby and he put it in a way that I liked. And, being he can afford such a camera doesn't hurt either. Not too many regular folk can go out and buy one of these.
Nice piece, but if you want one you might wanna think twice of getting one bcoz of the price tag. Its not auto focus no auto sensor cleaning but put that aside you have a great camera that can capture what your heart is saying not your mind.
Ha ha! The CEO and the other guy look so nervous when Seal is waving around the S2. I mean, with the lens, he's holding $30,000 piece of equipment ($22,000 camera body plus $7,500 lens). God forbid he dropped it. Anyway, I like the M9. Put some fast lens on it, and you don't need a flash for interior shots, that's wonderful. Unfortunately, I can't afford a Leica. All I could muster was a Sony A900, which is also good in low light with a fast Zeiss certified lens. Great stuff!
