Undimmed since the breaking of the world. Always hope and agony in his work. So much glory in Numenor and the failure of it all. And this beauty is from one man who survived the trenches. Think of what was all lost. How much it had to have touched Tolkien when his friend asked that he do something to remember him and he alone of them all was to survive. The art the culture, the wonder cut short by the dimmest and darkest of years.
In this world let them say I lived in the time of Aragorn, Let them say I lived in the time of The Return Of The King. Become who you were born to be.
@JorxLoLGoesYTUBE Thats my dream to i like the lord of the rings and after my dead wil i say to the god bring in the movie of LOTR and fight for peas dead|thanks you tolkien
These song will help me in my darkest days....to live....in the shadows....when all my hopes are gone...these song will give me the strength i need.....
Middle Earth is Far from Perfect But this song remeindes me of what they have that Earth doesn't they have hope. Hope that we have forsaken long ago i hope some day to live in middle Earth To see the Falls Of Rourus and The woods of lothlorien in this life or the next without Tolkiens Work there would be a gaping whole in my life.
@TotalWarPhilosophy I totally agree. I want to see Lothlorien and see The Grey Havens! But for some reason I really want to see Orthanc the most, it just always captivated me. I mean not when Saruman "recreated" Isengard, but when Isengard was a more beautiful place.

@Nadorzify i know what you mean, I always think about those worlds and how awsome they are but then i realize how far they're world is from mine and am grasped by a sudden feeling of nostalgia/sorrow
If I could just leave this world and go to Tolkien's world, just for one week each month... Then I would just wake up and live my ordinary life at school etc...
Every month I'll spend one week with Aragorn and the Gondor :) and nobody would notice that I'm not here in the real world !
Sometimes I could even go to J.K.Rowling's world ( yeah you may find this a bit gay ) to see old dear Potter...
Ú i vethed nâ i onnad. Boe bedich go Frodo. Han bâd lîn. Si peliannen i vâd na dail lîn. Si boe ú-dhannathach. Ae ú-esteliach nad, estelio han, estelio ammen. :) The info in sindarin.
Tolkien was a genius. Long after his own passing, his carefully written stories orchestrated artists of all kinds to commit their best and greatest talents, efforts, and work into an inspiring masterpiece. Such a shame as this often happens: The writer; the one who made such a supreme effort; is gone, long before he can see the final fruition of his work.
I don't think that anyone should feel like a geek for loving Tolkien's books. He dedicated more then a decade of his life to write The Lord Of The Rings, and it truly is a masterpiece, many people are captured by the beauty of the way he wrote it, I am no exception.
OMG I CANT HOLD IT IN!!! ITS TOO MUCH LOVE!!! IM GOING COMPLETLY NUTS!
I CANT STAND THE LOVE!!!!! man im like serriously going overload with love for LOTR , he didnt just make a story , HE MADE AN INTIRE WORLD! every piece of landscape got a real geniune name , like everything is made with love and care , Tolkien! in my eyes , you ARE god!!!
Imagine yourself that you are on your deathbed and you slowly fall alseep. . . . . but then you open your eyes and you see a white light in front of you and a weak voice whispering your name, suddenly. . . a whole world you see in front of your feet, you stand at the top white tower of Minas Tirith and everyone screaming your name as if you were a king, you've landed in a world where you are forever young , where everyone is happy. that is how imagine my death. . . . hope it meant something. .
I may sound like a geek now, but LOTR is a big part of my life, every day I Play / Read/ Watch / Think of it , so incredibly inexplicable how much I love Tolkien's world ... when I die one day , I hope I go to Middle-earth and live there as an elf in all eternity, far from grief and death .....
you dont sound like a geek , i totally understand you , Lotr is a big part of my life aswell , and i feel the exact same way , when i die i wanna live in Gondolin (Even if it was destroyed) so b4 it was destroyed :)
Don't be ashamed of that. It's good that you devote yourself to a legendary piece like LOTR. I personally, am a huge fanatic..and the way Peter Jackson brought the trilogy to life, was just breath taking.
I hope to go to a world like such a place he has created.
My heaven will not be the cliche and common heaven of Christians and Catholics. Too overcrowded and too many overly religious people for my taste to be stuck in "eternity" with. Hee hee Plus, I like variety and the depicted heaven has everyone in white robes and wings.. boring! haha
Well, actually, if you wanted to be an elf far from grief and death, you'd want Valinor, not Middle-earth. The elves got their grief with a side-order of tragedy in Middle-earth, thanks to Morgoth and Sauron. In Valinor, nothing ever fades away (the Two Trees died there, but only because Morgoth slew them). Plus, Valinor has all the cool elves by now: Galadriel, Elrond, Legolas (I believe Legolas was the only of the Sindar to go to Valinor, too), and so on...
@JorxLoLGoesYTUBE ... immortality ? .. is far from grief and death. in particular this song personifies that grief. forever bound to this world, unless life be taken. it is through death, we can understand the meaning of life, and the dreams left behind by those, close to our hearts and far from our sight.
@JorxLoLGoesYTUBE Life in Lord Of The Rings is so much more meaningfull and beatifull than what is happening in our world, it makes me want to live there.
@JorxLoLGoesYTUBE Brother, you are NO geek! I have this very same feeling! I share this feeling with you, honestly! I wish it were true, it's like a Bible for me. I know exactly how you feel about it. Middle-Earth is so perfect for me. I want to go there too.
@JorxLoLGoesYTUBE "Geeks" tend to make the world work, as I've learned. Being utterly consumed with an equation, an ideal, a mechanism is essentially what created all civilizations. Perhaps 100 years ago it was called eccentricity. Yet aircraft, electricity, nuclear physics, radioactivity, radar, lasers and a host of other innovations would still be late on the non-geek's "to do" list.
@JorxLoLGoesYTUBE And, to continue my point, Homeric literature probably had much to do with the founding of Western Civilization. Given Tolkien's immense cultural impact, who's to say he may not be a future Homer?
