He was not just walking down the street and then randomly decided to try to jump between 2 buildings. This is something that they have a lot of practice in and are quite good at. They take the same kinds of risks that athletes take.

@Brassmonkay3 Yay for me having high metabolism levels. Parkour is fun, it is just risky as fuck. It's an intensive workout too. You will get cuts, scrapes, and bruises like I have. And you also have to push yourself to do scary things. For me, I had to man up to jump off of my friend's roof and tuck roll when I hit the ground. It didn't hurt though because I rolled.
