I cant believe I went to paris was right outside this thing in the courtyard by the big gold lamp post and decided I was too tired lol.  You cant help but walk all over the city you just see soooooo much, Still kicking myself.

I have to add something to your wonderful comments. I'm American and have always loved France. Nothing however, absolutely nothing prepared me for this place. This video is breathtaking, but it just is not the same. You feel that you've been put in the middle of a diamond. It is said that if the chapel was less than an inch higher, it would collapse. I speak French fairly well. I listened to a tour. The windows start from left all the way around telling the biblical story from Genesis on.

I would add one more thing: do not leave this planet without seeing Paris. It is not a city, it is a work of art. Even walking down streets is like walking down corridors of a great museum. And it is full of life. Just an amazing place. And for anybody who is not French, it is humbling. By all means do whatever it takes, and go.

I so agree--everyone must see Paris. Don't get on a tour, walk around the city, eat at the out of the way places and ride the subways. And to my fellow Americans, please don't be rude.
