I used to help my friend's mom fold laundry, and she did folded undies like this (key word SHE, since undies are one of those things that family can fold, but it's weird when people who aren't direct family are handling your family's underthings lol). She showed me how to do this and I've been doing it for years! Love it! I don't have a messy tangle of fabric in my panty drawer.

@esthermarti It doesn't stretch out the elastic if you keep the band-fold tight enough to hold the undies in place when they're fully folded, but loose enough that the elastic isn't really stretched. But if you fold it super tight, it can stretch the elastic.

You just put your hands inside the corners and then put the opposite corners on top of that and then fold the thing into an oblong. If you want to be really neat and tidy you tuck the straggly bits inside.
