I see what you are saying, and yes the Old Yankee stadium is special. However, I still don't see any reason to be impressed with Cameron. If I were a fan of Duke, I'd certainly want a state-of-the-art facility with all of the amenities offered today, not an old gym like that.
Not impressed... sorry, it's just not impressive. Why would a player want to play in that gym? I will never understand that. Not a knock on Duke or a cheap shot, just an honest observation. There is NOTHING special about that small, gym. I'd rather play in front of 20,000 in a nice arena.
@yankeefanintenn It's like a history thing. Duke doesn't want a new stadium because that gym is their icon. They want to keep it small, compact, and loud as hell.
@yankeefanintenn I could say I wasn't very impressed with Yankee stadium 1, as it was extremely old, in bad need of repair, and not nearly as nice as most of the other baseball stadiums in 2006. But people still absolutely loved it, especially the players. Yeah, the new Yankee stadium is also pretty nice, but I'm sure you of all people knew how special the original Yankee stadium was even though it was built in 1923.

To say that you play for Duke and for Coach K. is just great. They did just build a state of the art practice arena next door with 3 courts, complete with a 40 yard long training gym, locker rooms and offices. If you think there is any basketball player who doesn't think that it is an honor to play there... then you are wrong.
