  • I have been looking for this game for years. It was on our computers at school but i had forgotten what it was called.

  • @barisaxman2 Glad I could help you find it again! :)

  • Nice little introduction to the game, thanks a lot!

  • Scratch that, he did not make this game, he NEVER said he made this game, and I have proof.

Did you know Notch was born in 1979? Now, let's see, this game was released in 1993, so you're pretty much claiming that he was a developer for FTL games and made this at the ripe old age of...14?

    I call bollocks.

  • @ChaosOmegaOWA ya i saw an interview where he listed this as one of his three favorite games of all time and so this is why im here so i m sure he never made it

  • Mind you, I'm not trying to be harsh, I will gladly retract my statement if shown actual proof. As far as I've seen, Notch has never said anything beyond being a fan, and there is no Markus Persson listed in the credits of the game (I even just triple checked), so unless someone can provide proof that says otherwise, my only conclusion is that clearly some overzealous Notch-worshipers failed reading comprehension. :T

  • I came to this video after watching Notch say that it's one of his favorite games

  • I'm having a small technical issue, I can't seem to get the game to be fast, it's quite slow, is there anything I can do about that?

  • @TheOriginalRocker Did you try upping the cycles on DOSbox?

  • @ChaosOmegaOWA

No, I haven't yet, how do I do that?

  • DID YOU KNOW! that this game was created by the same person that created minecraft (notch) :D

  • @AnderZ312 DID YOU KNOW! No it wasn't. :T

  • @ChaosOmegaOWA it was he says it in one of his interviews...

  • @finalbomb1 Then perhaps you need to reread the interview and see what he ACTUALLY said. The only relation between this game and Notch is that he is a fan of it and has made mention to wanting the rights to the series. He played as much a part in it's creation as I did.

  • @AnderZ312 what? he didn't

  • @AnderZ312 no it whasent

    he said it him self

  • @AnderZ312 he just like it -.-

  • what do u record this with?

  • is there a way i can get this game on windows 7? if i need dos box i can do that easy but where do i get this game?

  • Hi Chaos, cool to know there are other people who like this game. Question though - I had the original on the old 1996 Mac or whatever, and I remember the sound/music quality being way better than it is on my dos emulator. is there a way to improve it to its original state on the old Mac? I know how to access the setup file i just dont know what to change since every how-to-guide says sound blaster 16 is the best. if you know what im talking about any help would be apprecieted, thanks

  • @bobin26 I currently have my Digital Device set to Thunderboard: Port-220 DMA-1 IRQ-7, and Midi Device set to Sound Blaster 16: MIDI Port-388, and it sounds good to me.

  • does this game work on windows 7?

  • @TheKataKombs As long as you're using DOSbox, yes.

  • @ChaosOmegaOWA can DOSbox be used on widows XP?

i been trying but its not opening the game up, what am i doing wrong?

  • @RVG50 Yes, DOSbox works on pretty much every OS, as far as I know. Are you using DOSbox properly? I just released a DOS tutorial a couple days ago, you might want to take a view if you're unfamiliar with using DOS.

  • @ChaosOmegaOWA i had to modify the dosbox so it can work on my C: drive :(

but i got it workin but without sound haha only can hear the music which is epic :P

  • you sure this is your first let's play? Very nicely done! most first LP's i see use webcams and terrible mics. you use a screen recorder and you have a good mic.

  • @hasee5000 Thank you very much! Indeed, I don't believe in subjecting my viewers to something I, myself, can not stand. I take pride in providing a quality piece of work. :)

  • Do you use a mac or a pc?

  • @jassummisko PC.

  • Dungeon Master II is still awesome !!

The fucking media destroyed its image way back there...

  • I loved the snes dungeon master games ^.^

  • Whatever you do, don't stand inside the slidey doors and push the button, or a whole lotta bullshit starts up.

  • xD i have this

  • i prefer games where YOU build the dingeon

  • @videonfan That's....nice?

  • @ChaosOmegaOWA

    what do you mean

i mean games like dungeon keeper

  • @videonfan Like in soviet russia ?

  • Is that a bad thing?

  • @ChaosOmegaOWA no.That means that is AWESOME

  • why does this game seem so familiar..

  • Perhaps you've played the first one. Or, maybe you've played this one. It was released for the Amiga, DOS, and Sega CD.

  • WHERE DO I GET IT?!!??!?!

  • Get what? The game?

  • Very interesting! I might just download this game.

  • how is it that you are so good at this, and i am so incredibly bad? i feel like im just as bad at this game as when i was 8, which was 10 years ago.

  • I remember having this game in my childhood and loving it beyond words. I still have the official strategy guide book that I begged my dad for me to buy too xD. Also, did you know that you can cheat in the Hall of Champions by going into a Champion's inventory, selecting an item, and pressing Spacebar to exit out of it? I always raped Equus for dozens of torso plates since it's the most valuable starting item, but if you put more than one at a time on the merchant's table it crashes the game.

  • This game looks very good but I just now found out about it when I was searching for an LP for DnD but this came up in the search suggestions so I figured why not and it was worth it. Thanks.

  • You're welcome. I'm glad you liked it. I mentioned in the comments of another video how one purpose to making this, besides me getting to play this awesome game again and being informative for those that wanted secrets, was to allow people to experience some nostalgia. You made me remember another reason is to introduce people who may have not played it to this great game.

  • i remember playing the demo version and I didn't know how to open the money boxes... even after I downloaded the full version, it took me a long time to learn how to open them...lol never figured to put it in the character's hand

  • I like these old rpg games like DM and EOB. And these videos are very useful. Thanks for the uploading.

  • Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Excellent LP of DM2. VERY good game.

  • I love this game so much. I've played it through like 10 times. The only problem I have with it is that it's too easy in terms of the enemies--especially if you're a guard minion whore. I make it a point to never use guard minions, but even then it's easy as pie. I killed Dru-tan with nothing but melee attacks and a few fireballs. Of course, it could be that I just spend too long leveling up. . . and I abuse the axe-man place to make tons of cash. . . but still. . . Oh nice vid by the way.

  • Haha, sounds exactly like me.

  • harhar... the beginning is very Awesome... "You start in a Cave.... your Name ist Thorham Zed........... and you have a Dagger!" just Hilliraous.. :D

  • i havent played this game in years and it was on my macintosh but still i remember i only had the demo and i had the blue steel sword I was so happy

  • any chance of doing a dungeon master or chaos strikes back lets play really stuck on both

  • please do a dungeon master and chaos strikes back version

  • Great choice for an LP! I've loved this game for years. (This one, Dungeon Hack, and Lands of Lore are my favourite three games of old.)

  • A handy way of getting a few ninja levels at low level- stand in front of a closed door and throwthings at it. (A door has room to throw at and it sclose enough to pick the thrown item back up without having to move)

FOr fighter levels summon guardians and whack at them with weapons.

this is good for low levels at higher levels it simply takes a loooooooooonnng time to gain a level in this manner.

  • when you revive a dead comrade on the alter they lose stats. so its better to save a lot and just reload a saved game.

  • also fighting with hands or daggers increase ninja

  • also a dagger is better than a scythe- its only just a bit less damage but you can achive a much faster attack rate. (unless you prefer to get fighter xp than you may want to keep the scythe.. I usually just sell the scythe right off)

  • My Windows 95 didn't come with any free games!

  • You know how when you put together a custom computer on a website, and it usually gives you a selection of games you can buy to come with it? This was one of them.
