  • First time I've heard this version. Did not realize he wrote it. I have Eric Andersen's version on a 45, but cannot find it on any album or CD. I like Eric's better but probably because I heard it first and am more familiar with it. Funny how that works. Thanks for posting.

  • Hey! A guy named Tim Moore was Kingfish on the old Amos 'n Andy TV Series! This song was also recorded by a friend of mine from Buffalo, N.Y. John Culliton Mahoney, who had a hit with the Ballad Of Evel Knievel.
