john higgins is a pure gent and a class act on the snooker table. i don't question this match against steve davis because he was caught off guard and just couldn't overtake steve. however i believe he was tempted to take money to fix matches. he was caught on camera saying he would like the people involved to pay money on his mortgage on a villa he owns in spain. this was to try and avoid raising suspicions in the snooker world. i believe john was going to throw some matches but he got caught

It is really unbelievable what is going on.

1. The video of News of the World does not show Higgins cheating, it shows him possibly planning to cheat. There is no evidence, at all, that Higgins has ever fixed any match.

2. It is still not totally proven that the video is actually true and Higgins's story with the mafia could be true. It seems unrealistic, but there is a basic rule in jurisdiction: Everybody is innocent until his guilt is proven.
