Even without TV he wasa highly popular BBC radio DJ. Like many "tortured genius'" he was a depressive, druggie, and homosexual, and eventually died of AIDS/HIV.

I vividly remember seeing Kenny on the dancefloor at Heaven one Saturday night, I guess in about 1984. He was shirtless and poppered out of his mind.
