Great stuff Flux ty for the video, Question:Im thinking of buying the Mikro, but soemthing in my head tells me rto by the M1 instead I have a studio and teh cash so I dont know to be honest, can u synch mikro to Traktor pro? And it hasent midi in out Mikro is teh M1 better for that stuff...
@djeddienet if your gonna be in the studio with it all the time I'd go with the m1 but if your on the go, or looking to save money go mikro... you can sync to traktor no problem there.
@eSLAPS530 yep all the features of the software are the same. as for which I prefer. well that depends on the circumstance. if I am mobile and in a car, or on a plane def the mikro wins as it's size is very convenient. I also Like the mikro's pads more. if I'm in the studio though I am using the M1 controller as the knobs are mapped out and there is less need to touch a mouse. also I find sample chopping from the hardware is easier to edit on the m1 controller. (not that it's hard with mikro)
@eSLAPS530 if you have the cash for the m1 go for it. it's the big boy and is very nice. If you wanna save some dough. then the mikro is not at all a bad choice. If you start out on the mikro I doubt you would miss the features that the m1 hardware spoils you with. but going from m1 to mikro does kinda make you wanna reach for those 8 knobs from time to time. hope that helps
@nestorlafayette for instruments to appear in that field you must first install your komplete elements and make sure that your updated to the latest versions of those synths. also make sure to rescan your plugins. for sounds that are part of strictly the stock maschine sounds (meaning non vst sounds) you hit browse then at the bottom of the lcd you want to change file type "filety." to sound. then you can hit list or you can further narrow down by turning to page 2/4 (bank) and setting the style
@nestorlafayette well thats the thing the basic for the mikro are basically the same as for the m1 controller. the software is the same. but what do ya wanna know. maybe I can help.
Great video and good help, thank you. Only downside for me is it needs to be plugged into a laptop to listen to it. No sound card, can'tjust plug headphones, but I guess it was done that way to keep the cost down.
@tonezone41 well technically if your worried about that much mobility why would you care about a soundcard? in that instance I use my laptops (macbook pro) internal soundcard with no problems... so that kinda removes the need for it in that senario. you only need an external card when you need higher quality I/o or more input outputs.
I got my M1 off of ebay for cheaper than the Mikro retails for, so I'm glad I got the deal I did. However, if it ever goes up on me, I'll definitely snag the Mikro. I like having all the knobs, but the Mikro seems like a great alternative. Great for hobbyists like myself.
@johnnybvo Yeah man thats always nice to get a good deal. but unfortunately there are alot of ebay sellers (even with good feedback) that sell EDU versions of maschine as if it is the full Retail version of maschine and many people don't realize this until they go to transfer the product to another computer or to another user by selling it. it's pretty lame on those sellers part as most people don't understand the differences between edu & retail versions. but if you can get a great deal y not.
I mostly dj and have only made a few beats in garage band, but wanna get in to production. ive been doing my research on maschine and You seem like a guy that knows maschine, so would you recomend the Maschine 1 or Mikro?
@DontFallOnIMPACT well honestly it comes down to price point. M1 is a bit nicer because of the 8 knobs... so it's very hands on and fast. mikro is the same software but you have to use the nav button and miss out on having 8 ready to tweak knobs already set up in front of you... if your tight on cash and just want to get your feet wet I'd say go with mikro you won't be disappointed. if your in a position to afford m1 I say get m1... but mikro is no slouch ;)
@YEE941 I talk about that in the video... it doesn't have a dedicated autowrite button but you can do that inside the software anyway. with only one knob it's not a big deal... but I do still hope that is worked out in a software update (which I would bet it will be)
Nice Vid! so how do you turn off the Mikro??? if it does not have a off bottom, thats not good! =/
