I can't say that I have... I've heard of both but they never caught my attention. Plus, Ed Wood is a Tim Burton film and Burton's films are SUPER boring for me for the most part; but now that you've suggested them, I'll have to go check them out. They (esp. Ed Wood) might actually surprise me, since a biopic's not generally the kind of film Burton does anyway (something diff. for once).
I just hope Depp doesn't do those effeminate hand gestures and that "irritated" lip thing he does in EVERY movie, and for every role! Annoys me every time! That's why I generally don't like his pics...he never "disappears" into a role, he's always the same. The only character he actually did well with and where both the hand gestures and the lip thing worked & were actually funny was Jack Sparrow. Depp definitely "became" Jack. But not since (or before) then has he ever surprised or delighted me
how many movies have you seen for Depp exactly because I am pretty sure he didn't do those so called gestures in many movies like What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Donnie Brasko, Blow, From Hell, Finding Neverland, Sweeney Todd and The Libertine and that's as far as I recall right now.
Public Enemys was filmed right next to my house in wisconson when they go to Little Bohemia in Manitwosh Wisconsin.

My 6th grade cooking teacher said he dated Johnny Depp's sister. When he met little Johnny, he wasn't famous.

But that's why this one looks interesting - he seems to be acting completely different in this movie, which is good! :)
