@Lizard4Badger the noise often happens once your mouseskates wear off, the the sound gets quite grainy. You'll notice it when different types of mouse sound different on it
I subscribed to you just because of this video. So what is the best mousepad out there? Right now I have a steelseries S&S Solo with MS Skates and an MX518. I want to buy the best mouse/surface/skate combination available so I'll never have to upgrade it.
@Quitoman lol - in short, there's no best, there are only different. Because you may like a certain feel / glide at one point in your life, then your taste changes and you may like something else. Personally, you just have to try and see what's comfortable for you, because I've change mousepads constantly myself haha. There's never going to be a "no-upgrade" mousepad lol
hey FYI, i used icemat before they havent really used any special "technology", its just black paint. I had the experience of using one its pretty awesome, but it had holes in the paint and that sucked lol..my advice is to put some contact adhesive on the back for insurance haha
@nairdajun interesting thought - possibly that the paint on the back allows the sensors to track through and reflect back. i'm not sure about the exactly technology, but it's an interesting thought lol!
have mine for about 2 years now and im never gona get back to normal MP 1 coz that sucks 2 coz mine will never ware out xD useing mine with a siderwender and its working i can move my mouse to a pixel even with the higher DPI
I have a SteelSeries i-2 myself, have you tried the kinzu on there? I've had 2 razer mice (Abyssus) break in less than 2 months, wanting to try something different. DeathAdder also broke on me, but it lasted for about ~8 months atleast. Thanks for the review, and looking forward to your answer.
@justbourlier yea sure, works just fine. the only thing about icemat is that the smoothness is really dependent on your mouseskates and the condition they're in. That will determine the roughness of the glide. New teflon mouseskates often work the best haha
@takasta Skates definitely make a HUGE difference. I was too impatient to order online & wait, ended up getting the MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 @ best buy, definitely had to put different skates on it, felt like sludge with the factory skates. New skates felt like smoothe butter.
awesome review! can you do a proper review on the razer deathadder cuz u kinda just compared it before. also on the qck? surprisingly there aren't many thorough reviews on the qck (or at least not as thorough as urs) :)
I use icemat 2 and mx518, pretty good combo. I never even noticed the noise till I saw this vid.
