this song is so sweet i lost my little girl when she was 3 the little time i had with here is cherished her favorite song was itty bitty every time i hear it i have to sing out loud with tears in my eyes tears not sad but happy for the time we had
This song made cry. I just think of all my parents had to deal with since we are three girls. Two in College and the other on her way to become a Junior in Highschool next year. Their divorced and they still take the time to give us advice and help us out when it's needed. I love my parents and I just hope one day when I have kids of my own I can raise them like my parents did my sisters and I.
I've currently got tears in my eyes as I type this. This makes me think about my parents and what they may have been thinking as their three kids grew up. Now I'm in university and I look back at those days when they watched over us.
Thank you, Mom, Dad, and Bill, my Stepdad. I love all of you.
this is so sweet!! it made me cry i grew out of my dad as a teenager, i haven't called it growing up because i was immature. to everybody that still has a daddy that's there for them, don't ever refuse his hand to hold, no street credit or popularity is worth the pain when you stop using the word daddy or giving him that hug at the school gates xx
I am an English vicar Last weekend 8th January I baptised my 4th granddaughter (8months old) my pride in my daughters as they grew into beautiful people and now their children is all in this song. Thanks Trace, its brilliant and sums it all up for me about being a father and grandfather. (it also helps that since I have a deep voice that I can actually sing along to it) Blessings to all.
The song is ok. Not a lot of talent there. I don't know what it is about Adkins, he's just hard to watch. I don't know if it's his cockiness. He's just not believable. He looks like he spends his days in a gym and not a rural setting or with a family, like he portrays. He has a borderline voice. It's not much of a natural talent.
A couple of years ago I put a video together of all of us kids from the youngest photo of us until present time with this song and gave it to my parents for christmas. We all cried.
Im a senior and graduating this year, i hear this song and cry within the first 30 seconds. Not only from the parents view but from mine its gone by so fast and i am not ready to let go.
Mom of 3 beautiful grown up children and this song makes me cry every time because it is soooo true...life is short so make sure to enjoy every minute!
wish i could have had these moments with my girlfriend and baby. instead they were taken from me in one heartbreaking night. i love u guys and miss u so much, especially baby julie who never got to see this world.
I have 3 step kids and none of my own. But I still love them and I know I'll miss them...even though they are a pain in the ass sometimes. But hey we were all kids once, and our parents miss us too even though they might have celebrated when we first left.
Could you help me to come true this fabulous dream? PLEASE, my dream is to be a singer I know that Im not a professional singer but I do my best and if you give me the opportunity I know that I can be that singer that im dreaming please stop by my channel “Anlimema” and check out my acapella. you have no idea how much I appreciate your support, it means the world to me.
My son sent me this and a message saying "get the tissues". He knows me so well....I will never stop needing my children in my life and find each day way too quiet now they have all grown....beautiful song with very deep emotions, thanks Trace Adkins and thanks to my son Shane....xxoxoxox
Seems many of us parents are feeling the mixed feelings of joy and sadness because our babies are now young men and women who are graduating high school and moving on to college, and, the rest of their lives. Great song, wish the DJ had this one at my son's graduation party last night. Would have been great to dance this one with him.
I absolutely love this song, brings tears to my eyes....great job Trace your voice really makes the song =*) my youngest graduated this year an this so fits!
My daughter graduates from high school tomorrow. I still look at her and see that little girl with the curly hair up in pig tails. I can't believe it's went so fast!
@stef500 Don't worry about it too much. You've got plenty of good years ahead, and childhood has to end. That doesn't mean that you have to forget about the past or grow up instantly; take it easy. Just make wise choices then you'll be fine. Life is a dance, we learn as we go! Dance and have fun!
When I was younger, I always wanted to grow up and be a big kid. I did, and now I'm a teenager. I wish I hadn't. I didn't know it back then, but it was so much better. This song brings me back a few years when my Mom always listened to it. She still does, but it's not the same. There's to much worry now...and I can't do a thing about it.
@EyeProbablyNeedHelp Enjoy every moment of childhood. Take time to spend with your friends and famiily. Take your parents advice to heart (I wish I had). Don't worry about trying to make your mark or be cool. Be yourself. That's the key to happiness.
This song makes me sad.... I don't think I'm ready to experience letting go... My little girl was born less than 48 hours ago and I already know that it's going to fly before my eyes...
this video is so true and it hurts to look back and see how much they have grown one minute you remeber changing their diapers and the nxt thing you know they are married and having kids of their own.
This video makes me cry. Well, maybe it isn't the video but the song. One day, my babies were just that. Babies. Now they have babies of their own. Where did the time go? I blinked and almost missed it. Time flies by so fast.
I have seen enough death and violence to last 10 lifetimes. I am getting to the point where I live my life for EVERY moment, because you never know when you will lose it. Have fun with life. Jo
there are so many songs about how kids should stay little. well honestly i dont want to grow up. i am so afriad to b on my own. U have no idea. I always wanna cry when i listen to this song.
@flutist17 Then don't grow up...stay the way you want until you"re ready. It will happen, but on your own terms.....:-) And it is scary to be an adult! But you get used to it:-)
@flutist17 I keep hearing from a lot of people that the trick to life is to still hang on to your childlike happiness. I'm only in my 20's but people expect me to be some serious, responsible adult and yet I get so bloody excited walking into a toy store or watching a Disney movie or even playing some silly game that I played a lot as a child. It drives my boyfriend batty but it keeps him laughing and keeps me smiling.
So always hang on to your childlike innocence. It's wonderful to have. :)
@ZeGermanGirl Please don't ever lose that spark. Yes you need to be serious and have a job and pay bills. BUT, don't ever lose that spark cuz if you do, then you are like everyone else. and Heavan forbid that happens. Jo
@tacticalbarrage They dont need their heads examined. Writing music is about writing down what you're feeling, it does not matter if those feelings are happy, sad or whatever. People are entitled to write about whatever they feel. This song is actually refreshing when the world we live in today is so focused on ourselves and not on our families.
I see them as babies, that will never change...AMEN..Tabbatha,James,Josh,Brandon,John,David,and Noah..Daddy loves you...And Delilah..Grandpa loves you..
Nothing depressing about this song. It just makes you think about how short life really is. Take the time to show your family how much you love them while you can.
I've never been hugely into country, but everytime I listen to this I cry :'( It's just so touching..and it makes me feel really sad about moving out and leaving my mom behind... >.<
This song is so true. Its hard to believe how time flys, and its hard to believe that almost two years ago I had my baby boy who is now a toddler and now have another on the way. I wish I knew where the time went, because its just gone in a blink of an eye.
