Steve, Does the Jasco 'natural' grain filler colour the pores of the walnut? it seems very yellow and as I cannot find a clear filler I have experimented with a natural filler but the pores in the walnut are left with a very light colour, does this effect the overall finished colour of the walnut?
@andersonec1 I've had pretty good luck with the Jasco filler. I don't think it affects the overall color. It looks scary when you first put it on, though.
you did not have to do all that cleaning if you do the finishing right it would save you all that work of claning the shop

The wood filler that you mentioned for the open grained walnut, is that the same as a pre-stain that is used on very soft woods such as pine.?

Congratulations - beautiful work!
- How many days did you take to have the whole project finished?

don't rub too hard with a tac cloth, it will leave something behind that will not let the finish dry.
