  • Ska version of this song?....

  • In this video Julian looks like his dad when John had that late 1950's hairstyle

  • I just read he's got a new album coming out in 2011...Yay!!

  • @trippinonnostalgia

I've heard it, it's pretty good!

  • @Doogaloo Really? ...wow...great! Let us know the haps...

  • This is cute. J..L. during his wild and crazy big-haired Disco Boy period. Few of this generation took ourselves seriously in the 80s. He' was just finding himself and good for him, what a fabulous singer and person he's become. Love the little hair tail.

  • 80's excess.

  • Julian is really good in his own way- and sometimes sounds like his father John Lennon. even though its unfair to compare anyone famous or not to their parents/family

  • Love this song...Love the energy.Still remembered when this song first came out.

Thanks for sharing this awesome concert.

  • Please, Daddy, don't wear those shorts onstage.

  • What the hell? He sounds like Boy George in this.

  • thats an interesting dance he is doing, nice clothes that they are wearing, pure 80s although i do like the song. He has johns haircut, and yes he does sound like john. wonder if john would like what julian has done or is doing or if it would annoy him.

  • Sounds very much like John, but actually looks more like Cynthia Lennon than he does his father.

  • I thought the same thing. I thought I was the only one. I think he really looks like Cynthia in a frontal view, but in profile he looks more like John.

  • In some of his music, it's very difficult to tell him and his father apart. They sound very similar.

  • lindooooooooooooooo

  • I remember when julian lennon released his first recording Valotte. I was pleased to see that he inherited some of his dad's talent.

  • I don't blame him a bit for changing things up a bit from time to time...I would imagine that playing your songs the same way over and over at show after show, you'd want to change things a bit... Put yourself in their shoes... You'd either change things up a bit, or end up really being sick of your own songs! Just MHO...Julian rocked then, and he STILL rocks! AND is about to put out a brand new record!!!! WoooHooo!!

  • Good point TIWICI. I was going to leave a coment about the original but I guess you would have to change it up to keep it fun...

  • I see that you made this comment 7 mths ago and we are STILL waiting, lol. Definitely hope it's released in early 2010. :-)

  • Well We Can't ever here the fucking Original can we! Thanks Youtube! Most of my fucking CLASSICS are now TOOK AWAY! JUST CAUSE WE HAVE IT ON LP OR DISC? The only TIME you MAYBE WIN is if YOU Can buy up New Talent off the back of the REAL artists you once BOTHERED ABOUT-WHAT MADE YOUR NAME????? Shame on you!YOUTUBE! I speak my mind bar me if you like!!! I

  • jesus christ. he looks AND sounds like John.

  • If u dig a pony, dig the BASTARDS who REALLY KILLED JOHN: watch?v=akTM4CiKMcA

  • He is SO MUCH like his Dad, visually and musically. Such a contrast to the little prat Sean Lennon

  • what the hell ever happened to him?

  • He is currently working on his 6th album ~ you can hear several of his new songs on his Myspace page ~ go have a listen :-)

  • lol "Frank Elmo - Sax nd Stuff"

  • Someone needs to comb their hair...hehe kidding.

  • Ya the original recording may be better but for julian to sing it would be painful so i can see em doin it this way.

  • Oh come on with picking on Carmine's attire. It was the 80s. At the time, it was considered cool. I'm sure we ALL have pics of us wearing some outfit that should have the heading..."What was I thinking?" LOL!

  • hey Carmine, do those shorts come in men's?

  • lol

  • too bad he had to betray his song to please the zippers

  • Bass player's outfit. Fail.

  • what happens with the keyboardmen?

    fail 0:16

  • brandon...brandon

  • I totally agree. They must have been trying to give it a new wave / ska thing to the song.

  • yeah, still prefer the original recording... this one is nice though

  • That is one honkin harmonica! XD

  • hahahaha...I want one!

  • is he hot or what?

  • Jeeez! What's the freakin' hurry? This song lost its soul at this tempo!

  • I absolutely love this performance!

  • You are a moron. Julian Lennon is the son of the most imporant and one of the greatest musicians of all time John Lennon. If it wasn't for The Beatles and John Lennon rock music wouldn't be where it is today. So get a life loser.

  • You're entitled to your own opinion, of course. But he hasn't stopped recording. You should check out Photograph Smile, his 5th album. Do a search. You might be pleasantly surprised. He's matured into a wonderful singer/songwriter in his own right.

  • Peppier version of this song..

    Julian is so cuute!!!

    Love c

  • he has a rat tail and a huge harmonica

  • Man, this guy can put it down!

  • he sounds so much like john it should be a crime for him not to record "imagine"

  • Hi 250lespaul, I'm glad that you are liking Julian's videos. :) As for Jules re-recording "Imagine", I don't think he will do that. He is more interested in doing his own thing. In fact, if you don't know this already, he's releasing a new album late 2007/early 2008 and has some early mixes of some of his new songs on his MySpace page. :) MySpace dot com/julianlennon

  • wow he really does have his dad's younger apperance. Julian has a skinner face. lol.

  • Julian really resembles John in this video.

  • Those videos are really good, how is it possible for me to download them?

  • thanx 4 sharing this cool video.

  • A cross between jacko and mick jagger...he should have done it like his dad !

  • Yes and John Lennon wasn't keen on Mick Jaggers stage antics

  • #1, alc661 & ninelivecat, if you are referring to him doing this song like his dad, this is Julian's song, so he can do it any way he pleases. #2 I think John would have loved his son no matter what. Keep in mind that it was the 80s. He wasn't doing anything different than other bands at the time. You should check out his live appearances from later years here on You Tube.

  • worse video eva

  • Way fun :)

  • wow...the first time i have watched a video and said, "Yeah. He hit a fat line before he walked on stage."

  • Thank you SO much for posting this!!!! I had this on VHS when it first came out and have lost the tape since. I never thought I'd see this again, and you just made my day!! :)

  • great version, Julian we miss you...

  • Ah...but Jules working on releasing a new album this year. He actually has just made a deal with a publishing company, as of Friday (4/13), to help market it. So we'll be seeing quite a lot of him VERY soon. :)

  • he looks like terry bozzio. ive always liked the bass line in this song. cool!

  • Sounds like a SKA version

  • This was great! An upbeat, remix version with audience participation. And LOL! I SO did not see that giant harmonica coming. LMAO! :) What fun! Thanx for posting this, Doogaloo!

  • THIS IS RAD!
