my mother has just had one of these this morning at 2.30am it was awful. She had passed out on the bathroom floor and she had stopped breatheing I moved her to get her into recovery posistion and thank God i did because she then gasped and started to breathe We called 999 (uk) straight away and they did test and said she had a mini stroke She back at home now and doin ok but when i saw her on the floor not breatheing lying in a poodle of wee i honestly thought that she had died so gald she didnt
it was one of those experiences i never want to go through again. I cant get that image out of my mind. Keeping a very close eye on her as she is now at risk of having a full blown stroke. Keeping my fingers crossed that she doesnt have one and that she recovers from her mini stroke without further problems.
Everything changes from that point on doesn't it ! I was with my mom when her first of 3 tia's happened 7 years ago..it opens a door to a whole new world...each one takes a little out of her. What a heavy load to carry every day.. "whens the big one" ? she's been on Coumadin and getting coagulation tests twice a month. I live with her and take care of her and try not to get too freaked over the potential for this hideous disorder.

how would you explain me having a headache with middle back pain? is that a mini stroke?
I read sometimes you can experience mini strokes but no passing out.
