  • The STOOOOPIT! AIIIIEEEE!!! IT BURNS....

  • Wow, just wow *reading some of the most ingnorant statements.* How about everyone go read the book, check the accuracy of the facts/statistics, come back and articulate YOUR OWN INFORMED OPINION, rather than typing out of your ass...smh

  • Too many priosons are private owned. Prisons do not belong in the private sector.

  • @imaginepeace63 too many crimes are committed by private people. stop stealing shit and selling drugs and you won't end up in a privately owned prison, idiot.

  • @Shaymeonyoo Most prisoners are non violent offenders. The risons earn more money if they have more prisoners. So the prisoners will have mostly marijuana users and such. People that aren't really a threat to society. Next time do some research before you call someone a idiot. the real idiot maybe you because of your ignorance.

  • Lets free all prisoners...Lets never punish anyone for commiting a crime.

  • @ashken79 you've clearly missed the point. which is (sadly) understandable.

  • the people of the sun will overcome the peoples of the ice and sand

  • And for real the Government no what they are doing they the 1's did this. This system of leaders in this country got to go. I will say we Afrikans don't do no voting for democrats or republican all of them together with this white supremacy system they been running since they brought our incestors over here by force. And the Uncle Toms that in office with nos that to they aint for us Brothers and Sistas.

  • WE the real children of israel will have our day right here very soon. The Sun Peoples

  • @drizztmay Political strategists such as Kevin Philips and Lee Atwater admitted that the Southern Strategy existed. Moreover, it worked. For the first half of the 20th century, the Republican Party was the party of Eastern and Western Coastal states. It's current major constituency now resembles that of the original Democratic Party: Southern and Midwestern Whites. In pandering to demographics like these (and Suburbia), both parties have adopted racially skewed "tough on crime" stances.

  • We should convert all prisons to colleges and remove the felon question from job applications. It will piss off rednecks but I truly think this is the right thing to do to enfranchise black American men.

  • If u r in uk you can find her book from whsmith.. pls read this book..america is so uncivilised with regard to law enforcement..Great work dr michelle

  • @ashken79 Yes, paper PhD, great work apologizing for criminals and animals who eagerly engage in drug sales, extreme violence, and rape.

  • Thanks for posting! :]

  • Their not in jail because they are black, it's because they are criminal scumbags.

  • @omgbutts the problem is that criminal scumbags with lighter skin don't get treated the same. A child molester or rapist gets less time than a none violent drug offender. Not only that but the stupidity of "going to jail for street cred" is not a good combination.

  • @omgbutts Even the ones who commit minor crimes which harm no one? {{-_-}}

  • "Gubament invended aids... to kill us!" "Gubament invended crack... to kill us!" "Gubament invended jobs... to kill us!"

No dummy, the government doesn't want to kill the black man... that would mean less people in the workforce to tax... oh, wait...

All you ever hear from people such as this is...

"Da man is holdin me down!!"

Listen princess, no one cares what a girl has to say unless it is...

"what would you like on your sandwhich, dear?"

  • @jerkfck The government may not be actively consciously taking these actions, but regardless of intentions, the results are the same. She has the data, she has the first hand experience, she needs to be listened to on this.

  • @drizztmay Where does she go off the deep end? She was making completely valid points throughout the entire video. Things like the "Southern Strategy", which is what she was referring to, were very real parts of our political process during the late 20th century. It's no conspiracy.

  • @Keithed200 This paper PhD, making excuses, apologizing for the population of blacks who willingly, eagerly participate in illegal activity (drug sales, violence, rape, etc) to make fast money. Great job.

To assert that there is some national conspiracy or collective bias against blacks within the police, judicial system, and penal system is absurd. Counter example, Baltimore. Majority of politicians, judges, police are black. Majority of inmates, black. Stop apologizing for criminals.

  • @silvermediastudio Stop apologizing for our dehumanizing, murderous drug prohibition and our fucked up prisons. It has become clear to sane people that the drug war is a failure and that it is skewed towards jailing the already impoverished for mostly soft drug offenses. There are more people now in federal prison for marijuana offenses than for violent offenses and it is blacks that are specifically targeted even though marijuana usage is now practically universal across the States.

  • @Keithed200 Easy way to stay out of jail... don't break the law. No apologies necessary.

  • @silvermediastudio Fuck the law. The law has proven to have no sane basis in solving anything and is contemptible. There are millions of whites in suburbia and elsewhere who flaunt their own marijuana and other drug use without consequences because it is understood there will never be serious prosecution there. The same cannot be said of inner-cities, where the drug trade has grown in size along with unemploymentand the loss of factory jobs. Stop being a sniveling boot-licker.

  • @Keithed200 We live in a society. Don't like the law? Change it or move elsewhere.

Put down the crack pipe, put down the Glock, stop pushin' hoes, stop hustin', stop wilin' out, stop all the bullshit and stay out of jail. Go to school or get a job, raise your kids right and contribute something to society. Just some friendly advice from your neighborhood cracka.

  • @silvermediastudio Oh please, our society was founded on the idea of rebelling against authoritarian rule of law, not bending to it. I think it's adorable that you believe you can magically change the status quo though. I imagine 150 years ago you would have expected colonists to stop whining and "change" British oppression. You prefer to revel in dull hick ignorance, so that's not really a surprise. I'm also particularly flattered that you think I am black. It makes the racist chiding funny.

  • @silvermediastudio Moreover, the make-up of the government of the city of Baltimore doesn't mean shit. As a city are still required to enforce the drug laws that were drafted by our federal government, which is almost wholly white, male and over fifty.

  • @Keithed200 It means a lot, you just choose to ignore it. The majority of those incarcerated in Baltimore are violent offenders, not exclusively "soft drug offenses." Learn your facts before you prove yourself to be a fool.

  • @silvermediastudio I can't find any decent numbers on Baltimore but nationally marijuana arrests easily outnumber violent assault, with there being 858,408 arrests for marijuana in 2009 compared to 581,765. These numbers come from the FBI Uniform Crime Report. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, mongoloid.

  • @Keithed200 Last I checked, MJ is illegal in most states.

  • @silvermediastudio And yet Marijuana use is calculated to be higher among whites than blacks according to SAMHSA and yet blacks are the ones who are predominantly face higher rates of incarceration in association with the drug. Of course, in your world, there's nothing wrong or fucked up about that at all.

  • @Keithed200 I not not disagree that more blacks are arrested for drug offenses. Why might this be? Perhaps they are not just consuming, but selling in larger quantities. Perhaps they are concurrently involved in other crimes (especially violent crimes and theft to fund their activity), which brings greater attention from law enforcement. Perhaps they are engaged in their activities more openly, with less regard for the law, and are therefore simply easier to catch and convict.

  • @Keithed200 Perhaps they are more likely to be cooperating witnesses/informants hence convictions. They are concentrated in urban areas, majority of white offenders spread out btwn cities/suburban/rural. When fishing, go where the fish are. Lot of factors well beyond systemic racial bias. Maybe racial bias is there, but not nearly as prominent nor strongly correlated to the arrest/conviction rates, rather the author is merely manipulating data/ studies to support her own racially charged agenda?

  • @Keithed200 this lady is uppity and assumes black people are arrested for crimes because they are black.

  • Michelle, great video. I'm going to buy your book. I agree with so much you said. Prisons are overcrowded and a money making business. They do racial profile/ sad. I was a victim, white single mom in Maricopa under Sheriff Joe Arpaio They nailed me for being naive to the system and I continue to tell my story. Author/Film creator Alison A. Hicks

  • Why do you guys bother arguing on YouTube?

You do realize the comment section is a cesspit of ignorance and trolling, right?

  • is this a conspiracy theory joke?

  • don`t do drugs to begin with and anyone (not just black people) would not have a problem. she said something about 4 out of 5 people get caught for just holding drugs, they must be holding enough drugs to have the intent to sale.

  • @JoeAmy22 If only that were the case. If you have just one gram of crack then you not only get arrested but you go to jail for many many years. 1 gram is sentenced as harshly as having 100 grams of cocaine. So clearly having one gram is not intent to sell. You really need to read up on the war on drugs a bit, my friend. The VAST majority of arrests are purely for personal use.

  • someone asked how can you be black and a libertarian....I said I don't know how you can be black and not a libertarian...

  • Once you join the ranks of those who can see, no matter how badly you may desire averting your eyes from the truth you can never go back. Life would be so much simpler enjoying television, sports and movies without noticing the oddity of manufactured Black Fictional Heroes in every commercial, sitcom or film. They are needed to offset the lack of Black heroes in the real world, with the burden falling on basketball and football to fulfill the vast majority of those slots.

  • THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!!! THERE SHOULD BE A REVOLUTION!! DAMN IT!! COUNT ME IN!!!!!!!!

  • What we are dealing with here is spiritual warfare. when they declared "war on drugs" they were really declaring a war on the black male and all those that slip through their drag net they use the willie lynch strategy to control the remnant of the black female and turn us against one another. they have been trying to eliminate us since the Roman invasion of jeruselem in 70 AD. this is the same old wicked antichrist govt. of biblical history.they know time is short and they are despirate.

  • Now take this into the world stage and the Machiavellian plan by the same power to keep blacks permanently under developed. America took her trades to the orient, bypassing African labor. Beyond this, as can be seen in the Wiki leaks. America works relentlessly at making African countries a permanent war zone. While it busies herself with the pilfering of her resources

  • on how many fronts are people of color been systematically oppressed and disenfranchised. What about the covert subliminal messages that are constantly been shunned out by the media, all carefully orchestrated, with the single goal of making sure that the race called black is perpetually blacklisted. What is happening in America, when there are still some token measure of decency by individuals in the other camp is alarming enough

  • Foster responsible parenting. What happened to the do it yourself project by many leaders like The King and Malcolm, Louis Farrakhan and many others? The truth is out their. Mutual co-existence and equal opportunity is definitely not values that the institution wishes to see become a reality. Now, thanks to Michelle for her painstaking research into this particular aspect of not so theoretical conspiracy but very practical one,

  • Where do we go from here? What will this book do? How and when will people of color decide to choose to live? True, keeping oneself in the straight and true can be a daunting task when dealing with a vast network of people and institution that connive and contrive systematically to get you, one way or the other. But coloured people need to adapt to the ever changing game plan. Go to school, Stay in school. Keep of drugs.

  • Sis. Michelle does an excellent job presenting our case, siting all the relevant facts and statistics, demonstrating the existence of the new "Jim Crow Laws" and "Slave Trade" under the guise of fighting "Crime". The Black Holocaust continues....

  • thanks for your comments which are on target...I think that it also needs to be pointed out, however, that after years of slowly reducing funding for minor level drug violations and enforcement by a bi-partisan group of republicans and democrats, the Obama administration decided to reverse course and to increase funding again for this type of enforcement. Whether or not this was an unintended by-product of the stimulus bill I do not know.

  • Ms. Alexander was right when she said that the criminal justice system was a beast beyond the typical racist, discriminatory institute. In other words, she's saying that their actions are methodical, and sytematic, and done with malice! In summary, Their actions are done intentionally! To many people, especially professional, scholars, scientist, politicians, etc. Have confimed horrific methodical secretive plans to destroy us! And they wonder why we believe in conspiracy theories- they exists!

  • @525Chanel - thanks Prof Alexander for your great commentary - I am sharing this with EVERYONE I know !

  • Thank You ! Ms. Alexander

You beat me to it! But I was going to publish a book addressing those same topics. Like labeling african americans felons, by a corrupt, and discrimanatory legal, social, economic systems here in America. I also noticed that a lot of tax payers dollars are used to stop minorities from attaining upward mobility, than to actually get real criminals, like child molesters, bank robbers, etc. One is more likely to get away with robbing a bank, than

  • I am about 20 pages away from finishing her book. I LOVE it and I plan to buy it. I'm currently borrowing it from the library. I wish she was on the front pages of EVERY magazine because she needs to be. We need to be talking about this everywhere.

  • I LOVE this lady, she is a WONDERFUL person!! Although, I do not feel that it is ONLY a black thing, I do think that there are too many people that are NON-VIOLENT in prison!!

I agree with what she is saying and hope that she makes a lot of money with this book!!
