cost is not the issue. losing a gargantuan profit machine is the issue. MBAs work hard to find new ways to extract value from the populace; they won't give up this one easily. Hopefully enough of the corporate sector will see this as an opportunity for a good faith gesture to the American masses. they need one right about now.
