I love brazilian cachaça , unfortunetly i never heard about Brasilia ? have you ever tryed Germana , Weber Hauss , Cassa Bucco , Armazen Vieira , Salinas , Havanas...those traditionals and famous brands ?
Hi Mr.G, Of those you mention I have only tried the Germana, which I thought was reasonably good but not very special. I have some Brasila now though and it is apparently known as Jamel in Brazil, so maybe you know that name? I am still confused as to why industrial cachaca is apparently bad for the environment? Isn't this just hype? Please explain!
Industrial Cachaça contaminate and degradate the soil , contribute to the global warming and morevover they dont respect the traditional way to produce an autentic Brazilian Cachaça ,people in Brazil who loves Cachaça only drink Organic High Quality Cachaça...
The fact is , no one knows Brasilia or Jamel ,it sound like "51" , "Caninha da Roça" , "Velho Barreiro" , "Sagatiba" ,all shits , created to make money with "gringos" who dont know the truth.
Sorry, but the above comment is rubbish. I know Jamel/Brasilla, and they have been credited with ISO9001, an international standard for environmentally friendly production. The other cachacas you mention are created for gringos? when 99% of them are drunk in Brasil? Don't try and import your arrogance, insults and lies to my country. I know this place a lot better than you, and I know that the British people like Brasilla more than whatever pretentious rubbish you are peddling.
Okay what brand of "Organic" cachaca do you recommend? How different is the process? ie how is it better? I've only tried 3 kind, 51, sagatiba and one I liked the best which was velho barreiro. Is velho barreiro an industrial cachaca?
Couldn't agree more. So much cachaca in the UK is just bland, and I don't care how many stupid adverts or fake graffiti you do, all I care about is the flavour and the quality. Brasilla pisses on anything else I've had outside of Brazil, and trust me I've tried them all.
I meant the cachaca on the video not Germana, which really isn't very special. I think that some of the comments here are from spoilt Brazilian rich-kids turning their noses up at the real people of Brazil. That's why I liked Brasilla, it's the kind of genuine cachaca that Brazilians drink all the time.
I checked it. Jamel sells 30million litres a year. Nobody knows it? Or is it just beneath you because they don't serve it in luxury hotels? It's what the real Brazilians drink not the aristocracy.
