  • IMPOSSIBLE PROJECT GUYS. LOOK IT UP. TONS OF NEW FILM

  • isnt this from the holocaust monument in Berlin?:)

  • ironic... last week i buyed a almost new -in its original box- Polaroid 600 camera in a garage sale for less than a 3.50 usd... f*ck

  • they brought em back.

    fuck digital cameras :P

  • never thought i'd say this, but.... i love lady gaga.

  • *a camera that is already discontinued.

  • if you're a collector, go ahead. buy one. it's worth it. if you're just another person trying to look cool when taking photos at a party showing off your instant camera, then forget it. its a fool for you to buy a camera that is worth a return-airfare.

  • I took two polaroids today :)

Got to love them. I have an other 47 shots left. The store I got them from has about 17x 30 packs left, and they said they weren't selling much at all, so I perhaps there will be some left.

I really hope there is never a last polaroid. They really are fantastic.

  • i've heard rumors that someone bought polaroid and will continue to produce the film. or fuji will. not sure. hope so too!

  • Who will make the very very very last polaroid picture on earth!??? ever....?

  • I was thinking of doing something similar, but in my mind I knew that someone wouldn't let it really die. Sure enough, Polaroid is not dead. Some former employees banded together to create The Impossible Project, they're using Polaroid old machines and they're using the factory as well. This is all in the Netherlands. Anyway, they're making Polaroid now and just refining it so it can be sold by 2010. And now, very funny... Polaroid wants back in! They've made a deal with those guys. haha.

  • also, fuji makes instant film as well

  • woo hoo i cant wait until more film comes out ive always wanted a polaroid!

  • wow, beautiful picture....

  • you guys! stop being so stupid! they stopped making it, but stores have some stock until the end of 2009. and right now, they're running an experiment and trying to make a new type of polaroid film that is cheaper and easier to make, and they say that it'll be all over in the beginning of 2010! BE HAPPY U GUYS! well....yeaah

  • cool i just got my first polaroid instant camera 24 hours ago... exactly which stores have stock left over??????????? i have searched wal mart and k mart and online .the stores dont have any and online a pack is over 20 buxs ((way too much)) so do you know of any large chain store that still carries film?????????????????????????

  • i am getting it from ebay

  • @69fordgreenmonster doesn't urban outfitters still sell some?

  • no stores do not have any stock left its all gone to ebay, for extrvagant amount of money

  • they have stopped making it , those films were made a while ago they have enough polaroid 600 supposedly to last till the end of 2009,

then ilford will take over ;D

  • Uh, why not just use fuji instant films? Stop bitching, start buying, morons!

  • GOOGLE polapremium !!!!!!!

Digital, film, one is not better than the other, it all comes down to preference. Look at it this way. We think we are so advanced with our digital cameras, not to far away from earth there are beings that surpass that, but it doesnt make them more advanced unless you label them as such. Time is an illusion; it all comes down to preference

  • they're still making it. You can't buy it in stores, but they still make the film. Search ebay, you'll find a lot of film, trust me

  • Polaroid are not still making it. They have stopped but have enough remaining stock to last till 2009, and thats why you can still buy it in shops. They might be passing the manufacturing process over to a smaller company though.

  • tom petters is a fucking pimp..

reinventing polaroid... he is a badge man..

slaps polaroid labels on cheap chinese shit.

the fuck wanted 100 million dollars plus a cut of profits..

off ilford film..when they said they would like to take over production of polaroid films..

he had already sold the polaroids factories land off around the world 3 years ago for a couple of hundred million..

so he got the company for nothing once he had asset stripped it..

like faustus i hope he burns in hell..

  • that sounds about right, these guys are all the same dude, i mean really, how much money do they NEED? there's only so many Lamborghini's you can buy, they all do the same thing they get from A to B, whats he gonna do with ALL the money, digital isn't quite the same thing, Im a photog Ive done both, and film is by the far the best, its depth, and the memory it has, the emotional tag it sends to the human mind is amazing, digital is killing the photographers eye its sending them blind?

  • hey you know the idea of ''Instant film'' was originally designed by Agfa in the 20's (if i understand correctly?) no one then thought it would catch on, so the design and patents sat dormant i believe for 20 odd years? then a group calling themselves polaroid invented that brand and the rest is, as they say....i hope i got that right?

  • kodak is quiting too?

  • super!

  • super sad you mean, right?

  • yes, is super sad for the polaroid, but your video in the juish memorial is really good. you did not replay to me if the green wall on your back (other video) is in the neugallerie of mies van der rohe.

  • not sure what that is?

  • (-: auf meiner seite

  • you're the best anna! thanks!

  • I was very saddened to read about Polaroid's decision a few days ago. Already I'm having trouble finding where I can stock up on my final supply of film.

I understand why it's no longer a "viable business option" for such a large company to focus on an "outdated" product, but my hope is that some smaller company will take on producing the instant film for the niche market of artists and others who still love the stuff.

  • Well, this time you get the photo. What about the photo taked by the french girls ?

  • i don't speak french

  • And so dawns the official age of teenagers with camera phones. Crikey.

  • i'm not a teenager! wait what?!

  • It is pretty sad and I don't think it's right to stop producing them cold turkey. But I know the film is way too expensive to purchase these days anyways and my Polaroid just went to waste :(

  • kinda sad actually. Years from now, kids are going to be asking their parents what 'shake it like a polaroid picture' means :(

  • but don't shake them! noooooo!

    and :(

  • People always seem to instantly see that what you're doing is special and start taking pictures. Another great stand. Holocaust memorial revisited.

  • it's not often to see someone meditating in public ;)

  • picture-perfect.

  • so is your comment

  • that's sad

  • Beautiful. Classic ...as a Polaroid?

  • Wow, where IS that? Love the slooooooow fade at the end. And as always you keep the natural sounds at the scene there...as if music.

  • Search Wikipedia for Polaroid Camera for an interesting history.

  • i know, i've been trying to buy up as much film as i can...i have so many good memories of the things i've done with a polaroid...

  • this is so sad :(

    loved the shadows!!

  • lets have a polaroid party. I don't know what this would entail exactly.

  • puppets and polaroids

  • noooooooooooooooooooooo !!!!!

  • :-(

  • Oh, wow! What a loss. I hope they sell the rights to someone, so the world will continue to have that little whirring noise and then an instant picture!! :)

  • Thank you for sharing! Love to you.

  • Nice tribute to the instant picture.

  • The end of an era.....

  • (-: sehr schön. Du hast immer so tolle Ideen...und die Schauplätze sind einfach klasse
