My displeasure towards the current government in Iran has led me to use more emotional vocabulary rather than rational ones. Hence, the use of the word thriving with respect to the economy three decades ago in Iran was incorrect, considering that the society could have been marked in two categories; the wealthy, and the poor, with the absence or near absence of the middle class. Never the less, I feel that Iran was making progress as a result of their engagement in commerce with other nations.

My displeasure towards the current government in Iran has led me to use more emotional vocabulary rather than rational ones. Hence, the use of the word thriving with respect to the economy three decades ago in Iran was incorrect, considering that the society could have been marked in two categories; the wealthy, and the poor, with the absence or near absence of the middle class. Never the less, I feel that Iran was making progress as a result of their engagement in commerce with other nations.

Did you guys know a century before Cyrus the Great the Persians had a sort of democratic system. Their leader was elected by all of the tribes in the area. He was not seen as supperior to the rest after taking his new position as leader but was seen as a first among equals.

You guys just have to look at our history who did what and why our country is where it is today. The Quajars were probably the worst Dynasty to rule Iran. They gave away 2/3 of Iranian territory to the world powers of their time.
