My father in law has one, it collects dust, but its still a good shooter, and pretty accurate at 200-300 yards out. The 243 of course is not near the stopping power or range of something like a 30_06 or a 300mag, but a 243 like a 30-30 will get the job done.

I Shot a .243 today. I'm 13, and it hurts. It's the highest caliber i have shot, it's hard for me, cuz i'm young, it's loud, and kicks like a mule. I was honestly scared to even try it. Since i'm a 13 yr old, it hurts a little more. It was very fun though.
