  • So what will my 1000mW laser do? (test time)

  • He should mod it. The radiometer would spin a lot faster, and he could light matches and burn tape with it. yaaaaaaaaaaaay.

  • @jakefromdahood Are you stupid? Only 50mW+ lasers can burn tape and only 15mW+ can light matches

  • @HaveAScream The 5mw can burn tape too

  • @Potriancus No way, I have 3, one 15mw one 50mw and a little bigger 75mw and the 15mw one can't burn tape..

  • i thought only little kids and teachers buy laser pointers

  • FAKE!!!!!!

  • you are doing it wrong, you're supposed to point it at the white part

  • @Tamonduando ummm no its the black part because black absorbs more light than any other colour and white reflects more light than any other colour

  • @rymdroffe Dramatic irony i guess. He knows something the guy in the video didn't :D

  • Do I need to buy goggles when using multiples 5mW lasers in a physics lab? Can it accidently damage the retina? I'll bring a youngster to my lab, so if it will be a such accident, his parents will kill me...

  • i cant understand what mw means... 5 mw how much metres are?

  • @paulaxa1 Wattage is the output power so 5mW is .005 Watts

  • i had this laser and its hard as shit to crack open and pod mod it(i brok it trying to get the driver out)

  • pointless

  • fake.................... (jk, dont be retards)

  • What is happening if you shine the laser or light on the shiny side of the veins? Will it spin?

  • Proof that photons have mass :D

  • @stardust4ever I hope that was some trolling

  • You have a very steady grip and dose anyone know how a radiometer works

  • Can you move it by pionting on the white side ?

  • you talk retarded dumb ass

  • A flashlight will do the same thing....a lot faster, in fact.

  • @AC7AM Depends how strong the laser /Torch is a high powered laser(Like mine) does it WAY faster than a torch because the laser is focused!

  • @benso9c how can i get a 200mw green laser??

    (i'm from brazil,not us)

  • @slashBR1751 Link is on your profile

  • a 5mw is a class 3 and will blind you only a fool would look into a laser

  • 1. copy and paste

    2. send this to 2 other videos.

    3. hold your breath for 10 seconds.

    4. press refresh twice.

    3. LOOK AT YOUR HANDS 5

  • dont facking be a hey im a hello youtuber gay!½!!¤

  • wat is legal for the us

  • @216xMcLellan The FDA banned the sale of lasers over 5mw. Of course there are exceptions for scientific lasers. But, there are websites that will sell higher power lasers to the US.

  • i have that exact same radiometer! 2!

  • if a 5mW can blind you....imagine what i can do with my 200mW :O

  • I just realized i have the EXACT SAME laser! thats ironic

  • That is not an example of irony.

  • @tvoice1 Why ironic?

  • @kgrzeg lol idk, it really doesn't make sense now that I think about it

  • @tvoice1 more like a coincidence

  • @intheshitter haha yeah i guess

  • @tvoice1 how is that ironic?

  • @LemonPieLoL it's not, just a bad choice of words

  • @tvoice1

that is not the slightest bit ironic

  • @tvoice1 cracked(dot!)com/funny-1085-irony/

  • @tvoice1

Yeah, say that in every video if you find any coincidence you mother fucker!

  • @tvoice1 me too

  • @tvoice1 nope, that's coincidental

  • @TagRation over a year later and i'm still getting replys about that comment... smh :(

  • @tvoice1 =D

  • @TagRation heck, I don't even have the laser anymore lol

  • Way faster

  • light is particle!

  • that laserpen is 10 mw

  • @thejoakim1 dude did you try 2 do it or so that you know that xD?

  • which store in the uk can you buy 5mw lasers from?

  • Twat !

  • how far does a 5mw go in distance(miles)

  • @spraypaint15 there junk get like a 50mw

  • @MacsCanfly but 5mw is the most powerful u can get in the US without spending like $60+ dollars because of added safety features(like secondary buttons and key's)

  • @flyboy12321 i live in US and i bought a 50mW green laser a few days ago you just can't get them from Dealextreme the one i got was awesome i'll send you the link

  • @MacsCanfly really? that's sweet, i have found other sites that will ship to the US but they where selling ones that had a larger diode and needed to be focused(mostly the problem is because PayPal is listening to the US FDA recomendation and wont allow the the orders)

  • @flyboy12321 well just use credit card like me on that site i had no problems but it took about 2 weeks to get here because its in hongkong and im in nj

  • miles usually

  • 1/2 mile about

100-200+ ones go faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar away like 9 miles and much more.

  • roughly 2 i think

  • Im going to get a 5mw how good are they links....

  • so...if a 5 mW can blind you...imagine what i can do with my 100mW :O

  • a 5mW cannot blind you

  • @gyroscopes but a 100mw can, cant it...

  • I got hit about 3 times from a 50mW green laser, no visible damage was done.

  • @gyroscopes If you stare at the beam long enough it could cause eye damage. But staring at the sun can damage your eye sight too.

  • @gyroscopes ur kidding me right?

  • @gyroscopes 5mw can't blind you with one flash, but exposure to anything above 3.84mw does irreversible damage to your retina.

  • @gyroscopes yes it can

  • @gyroscopes will it damage your eye? I mean do I have to wear protection glasses?

  • @exelto111 It will damage your eye if you point it directly into your eye for a while but if you're careful you don't need glasses

  • @gyroscopes 5mW CAN blind you. But if you point it accidentally and not intentionatelly to your eye, the blink reflex will protect your retina. Will do some non-permanent damage but it wont blind. Above 5mW the blink reflex will be late, and your retina will be fucked up. Mincho if you use your lasers for blinding people and so... you're plain stupid. And btw, your laser is -NOT- 100mW. It won't pass 50mW Like all the chinese cheap lasers, you're lucky if you get 60mW.

  • @gyroscopes every laser can blind you but it take a long time

  • @gyroscopes 5mw or >5mw can blind you.

Depends if your being an idiot and looking directly at the laser, or pointing it far away and making the beam width expand blinding somebody like a pilot or driver.

  • @Tuckypoo111

5mw of red laser light will not be enough to blind anyone you need more power

green may blind since it is so bright

  • @Tuckypoo111 it can blind up close as for the plane it more like flash bang they wont be perminately harmed.. effects them so they cant see for a second or so... which is bad when you are driving or flying..

  • @yettii0077 Hell na its not like that its just a really bright light it won't blind you well it will if you keep looking directly in it for like a minute and rofl for the plane a flash bang? no... its just a small bright light for the plane thats all

  • @maximilli111 well i not as bad as the grenade of course... i just meant its a random bright light that you cant see through for a second.... i was also thinking about my 200mw green laser....very bright but im safe so its fine..... for the plane at night its like someone with high beams in your face...

  • cant blind you.

  • @Mincho1994

you are an idiot 5mw green laser cant blind you..lasers dont blind they leave serious eye damage

you see a large black dot on your eye if you get hit by a 55mw-125mw green laser.

  • @mercanaries3 Sigh when i say "blind" I dont mean permanent blindness i mean seeing a black spot for like a couple of minutes or so. If you point it for somebody's eye long enough it may lead to permanent blindness but even then the chances are low.

  • @Mincho1994 i've got a 100mw laser and if i look at its reflected beam for some time my head and eyes hurt so bad

  • cool

  • nice work.

  • Sorry if I'm being ignorant but isn't that very risky business? I mean, maybe if you were unlucky, the laser would reflect right into your eye. And poof you're blind. O_O

The reason I'm saying this is because my experience of lasers are that the green ones are the "strongest" or most dangerous. I was told by a teacher that If you would get a green laser in your eye everything would go dark, and never go light again.

Sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes I may have made.

  • its all in the inensity not the color, some discos use much more powerfull beams and they dont blind you

  • yeh well they probbably temporarilly do but most of the time your too pissed to remember lol

  • Comment removed

  • this is a 5mw laser, so it just looks bringhter than a comparible red

the teacher is probably talking about a high power, like 200+mw

  • it wont its just a 5mw that is´t strong enogh to get u blind

  • Yes it Can get you blind

  • wrong, there are university research papers on the internet that contradict you.

  • Okay give me link..... Instead of correcting me with "wrong", please think about what your gonna say.... Its stupid to say "wrong" after a long explanation.

  • .....

    blue is the "strongest"

it takes 1 hour of direct eye contact with a laser 2 times as powerful as that one to do any damage.

  • Are you sure its ONE HOUR???? LOL i think its around 10 seconds for 5 mW lasers, anyway never point it to eyes, we never have sure!

  • yes, theres a nice table on wikipedia that verifies it.

  • 5mw laser takes abou 2-3 seconds to do "unnoticable" damage (that is more likely to the "darkseeing" part...)

After about 10 secs, ur eye will get blurry and u wont see clearly for 2-5 hours (depends on how good your eyes are), at about 15, you will start losing the ability of "focusing" because ur starting to burn your eye with the light

  • Uh no it's ultraviolet *Coming from someone with 14 years of optics and lasers experience*

Also you can see most blue wavelength lasers AKA it won't burn you (Only lasers you can't see can burn you)

  • im talking about roybgiv lasers, everyone knows ultraviolet is the worst, thats why every laser that gets through customs has to be certified (eg has a filter for UV).

  • Roygbiv lasers? The only wavelengths on the spectrum that lasers use are red, green, blue, and ultraviolet. And no not really that many people even know what ultraviolet is/how powerful it is. Also there is no such thing as a filter for UV.

  • theres no such thing as a filter for UV????

one of the first things that my friends and i found out about lasers was that ultraviolet was dangerous so i assumed the same was true for everyone else.

if it wasnt for UV filters cameras would still suffer from foggy, hazy photos.

  • I'm talking for lasers. And yes ultraviolet is quite powerful used for cutting/etching usually. UV filters for cameras are for sunlight & glare and have to do with sunlight (Weakened a whooooole lot but still harmful in excess to human skin)

  • my 5mW laser has a UV filter, i took it apart and to tweak the diode and it fell out. when i leave it out my laser can burn through thin dark plastic. when i leave it in my laser lights for 3 seconds before it cant stay lit.

  • That's probably a focusing lens and you might have overclocked (Computer terms, bear with me) the diode and now it is shorting hence the 3 second stop

  • ... i know what overclocking is, ive been overclocking my old processors since i was 8.

  • Uh, yeah, I was just using a computer term for something non-computer related :p

And what do you mean by your old processors/since you were 8? If they were old when you were 8 then I don't think that BIOS had the ability to regulate your computer's voltages, or temperature at that, and even then only expensive ones in production in the states.

I'm sure you had them a good few months before they died then, or you had a desk fan in there :L do you even know how to do it/what to do it to?

  • yeah the laser diode has a voltage threshold and i passed it so yeah overclocked is an appropriate term ok.

well im 18 now and it was before the year 2000 so 8 is a decent guess, i had computers that were second hand and my dad showed me bios and i somehow figured it out myself. the first time i tried it i melted the processor but after that i near enough knew what i was doing and nowadays instead of buying a new pc/laptop i can get between 6 months and 2 years extra due to overclocking

  • By 6 years/2 months extra you mean without having to upgrade because of demanding software? Usually what it means XD

Laptops you can't do it on though unless it's an alienware AKA beast cooling systems, pretty much all beast

But yeah it would improve your cooling system in your computer a LOT if you overclock, or if you haven't gone up in voltage enough then you can go WAY further

  • yeah theres lots of guides that track the actual components right down to each model so you know how much they can be overclocked by. most processors are underclocked by the manufacturers and sold off as cheap crappy ones. so if you know what you are doing the possibilities are endless.

  • There's the maximum working temperature, that's it. Lol. The only reason they're "underclocked" is because of the shitty material so that granny Nancy doesn't have it break when she plays Modern Warfare 2 from the intense heat generated.

  • lol yeah, ive bought several fans that ventilate my laptop and even suck the heat from it via direct conduction, helps alot when doing really processor intensive shit like rendering hd video and like u said, mw2.

  • Video is only hard on the GPU, note that XP

and yeah those are cool, they are like lap rests with huge fans

  • Over-clock, means making a device run at a clock that is over it's original clock, clock means cycle. Each processor has a clock, which is 1.8GHz, 2.4GHz and so on.

You cannot "overclock" a lase, since it does not work on any frequencies.

    Fail.

  • i suggest finding out what voltage is

  • I know what voltage is, it is a result of a current flowing though resistance, what's your point here? Increasing voltage is not overclocking. (increasing the current/resistance)

  • as voltage increases the number of electrons per point per moment of time increases which results in the diode of the laser heating up and needing a cooldown.

this is the same as overclocking a processor, except processors are capable of dissipating heat effectively.

  • That's bullshit. Processor aren't capable of dissipating heat effectively, maybe they have a larger surface, but it doesn't mean they are made out of something else than transistors.

    Also, READ: Overclocking consists of-

    Over - More

Clocking - Every processor works by clocks, lasers work by emitting lights from crystals. What "clocking" are you talking about?

  • without time, voltage doesnt exist.

processors have fans. lasers dont. i thought this was too obvious to be worth pointing out but oh well.

overclocking is increasing the clock cycles. clock cycles are measured in hertz. voltage increases currency which is measured in electrons per given point per moment of time.

    just fucking google it.

  • OFCOURSE PROCESSORS HAVE FANS.

Why are you repeating after what I say?

  • because you just said that processors arent capable of dissipating heat effectively. obviously they are if they have fans, thats what fans are for, and that was what i said.

  • I was talking about a processor without a fan.

  • why would i be talking about a processor without a fan? what the fuck would the point in that be?

  • I never thought I should mention that..

  • epic fail

  • Do you even know what an epic fail is, kiddio?

  • IR filter

  • Green/red lasers won't emit UV light, only IR.

  • Depends much of the output power, green is brighter than red and blue because green color is in the middle of spectrum of visible light for humans. So it's more visible and thats because u even see the beam at night. I don't know if its more dangerous if is brighter.

  • okay thankyou

  • does a 5mw green laser pointer burn stuff.

and is it milliwat or is it megawatt?

  • milliwatt and now it won't burn anything.

  • megawatt is MW and milliwatt mW. And a 5MW laser would light the whole house in fire :D (it would be 5 000 000 000mW or 5 000 000W :D)

  • bought it in turkye?

  • pot mod the laser =P

  • is that a 5 mW laser?

  • yes

  • aha

  • read the title yes.

  • i never seen a radiometer before but that is so COOL!!! O.o

  • whats going on with people are you heir to watch the laser or his nails HOW CARES HOW PEOPLE CUT THEME .ZZZ

    F***** Idionts.

  • stop biting your nails

  • ahah

  • Seriously look at his finger nails

  • some people just cut thier nails short as hell for some reason

  • omg that gotta hurt ... :D

  • 200mw 50000 RPM!

  • i have that laser

  • is it a goood laser overall

  • lol i order the same exact laser from amazon.

  • can you see the beam with that laser?

  • whoa, that's a powerful laser pointer...

  • I mean compared to an ordinary laser pointer. You don't find many laser pens that can do that :/

  • oh right

  • lol use a 100 mw and light in on fire from the inside! :O

  • that wouldnt work, radiometers are almost a complete vacuum on the inside

  • hmm..then what the hell nade it move?

  • it uses heat that the light carries. the white cells reflect the heat and the black ones absorb it, thus moving the radiometer

also why the sun works much better than a laser

  • radiometers spin clockwise meaning they are being propelled/pushed from the black side it's very rude to call the guy an idiot i am sure he is not interesting use for a laser pen

  • Your an idiot you have to point the laser into the white zones.

  • think about it. white reflects, black absorbs.

  • you're not supposed to "asorb" the laser, but the laser should "push" that fan - and that is to "reflect". try again.

  • That is not the case.

  • lol eoe Edgrs ur dumb

  • can tou pop balloons with this laser

  • and 200mw probably won't spin that thing it uses low powerd ones

  • 200mw would probably burn a hole straight through it lol

  • and (0.05mw =50mw) [0.50=500mw]

    1.00Watt

  • thaaat is confusing to people not knowing that xD

    because 0.05mW is NOT 50mW (?)

    you wanna say 0.05W = 50mW and

    0.5W = 500mW soo

    1W(att) = 1000mW...

    ...lessons over =P

  • 50mw=50milliewatts you fucking turd not watts

  • lol try using a hulk ultra from dragon lasers on that thing!

  • a laser on black radiometer flag..

what about a laser on white radiometer flag

  • no it would not spin the other way because the black is what absorbs the light and the white reflects the light causing a circular motion.

  • I was thinking the exact same thing.

  • i wanna see my 50Mw green laser do a lot faster lol

  • 50MW = 50000000W.
