  • i wanna be like hatsune miku i got to get that game

  • do you speak japanese

  • For future reference: It's こにちは, not こにちわ 7:57

  • good video but a few .... things you need to work on 1: you say Um alot 2: you kinda talk to the "audience" as if where little kids atleast thats the vibe i get lol just a few suggestions i dont mean any hate by this at all :)

  • そのビデオゲームはとってもたのしいです! だいすきよ! :D I just got it today.

  • hmm looks fun so far! i think i will get this game since, i am a beginner and its most recommended for them!

  • I am going to Japan next month an I've been using this game (My Japanese Coach), 'let's learn Japanese' (a computer program by eureka), the Lonely Planet phrase book phone Ap that speaks it for you plus this old school video lessons about some guy named Yan living in Japan. I do plan on actually doing classes when I get back, but will the above be enough to get me by in Japan, will the reference part of this game be helpful? I've never been there before and I'll be there for two weeks. anyone?

  • wow i didnt know there was one for Japanese! i want to get it! i have one for spanish XD

  • Theres a computer game thats very useful for learning to read and write (of course, i'm pretty sure it's only useful if you know vocabulary) Knuckles in China land

It teaches you kanji, hiragana, and katakana :)

  • Where can i get this game??

  • My name is Julian :o

    I feel so damn special.

  • Can you make a video on how to get e good japanese accent :D

  • Awesome review, Akichuu!

I plan on getting a copy for both me & my brother (brother will need it more XD )

  • I swear Japanese doesnt have future tense. Present and future are the same?

  • I'm getting really confused about this. I'm interested in learning japanese but I don't know a thing about it. Just a few phrases but that's like %1 out of the language. When I heard of this game, I thought it would be a great start for me because I don't have time to take classes.

I know it won't teach you anything but for a person who really wants to learn the language but knows nothing of it and is limited on their time, is it a good investment?

  • @TKGB2006 Sorry about the beginning. I mean to say that I've been reading mixed reviews from everyone about this game. Some people like it, some people do not. I don't know who to believe.

  • I got the same thing hahahaha but I still need a teacher. But I learned alot with it at least.

  • Wow...is this game made in Japan...?

  • I'll be sure to pick this game up.

  • Cool Video!!!!!!!!

  • hmm ok Not bad similar to Instant immersion cdrom.

  • where did you buy this??

  • thank you for influencing me to get this game! i REALLY want to get into the Japanese culture. ^^ THANKS AGAIN!

  • I'm trying to develop a computer app just like that for practicing pronunciations. I can't believe someone already did that.

  • I have this game and it's actually pretty good. I've been trying to learn Japanese for a while now and have tired different methods and none of them worked for me. I'm usually excited and ready to learn when I try new methods, but it soon gets really boring and uses words I'm not ready for, so I lose focus and quit. I've just recently started using this and I've memorized a lot of words and what they mean. I also like the games, they keep you entertained and focused.

  • Im going to ask for this game for my birthday so i may start learning japanese. :3 i cant wait! im going to sit there on the couch, days on end, till mum yells at me! XD lol.

  • まー、ゲームだからね。

    だれもこのゲームでペラペラになるとは思わないでしょう。

    まさにサプリメント("@Akichuu")だ。

    いいと思います。

    DSって色々出てるのね。

  • Also, I still think that Beginners should not rely on this game as a sole base for learning Japanese...if you can, take a Japanese class...you will be way less confused than you would be if you just used this game. I dont believe it teaches in the correct way to turn you into a effective speaker...

  • @toomuch4em yup i totally agree, i think that this game is like a tool for someone learning japanese. Instead of totally learning the language from this game people should use this game as a supplement from what you have learned already. Kind of like anime and japanese games, dont try learning from these things from scratch just use them as a supplement

  • @toomuch4em i learned a lot in this game ya know but i am not always confused

  • I also want to give a review of this game. Ive been studying Japanese for 3 years now and its a really good game..BUT, the area the game lacks in is explaining really WHY and HOW things are structured in Japanese..not to mention the lessons go way to fast for a beginner. I was suprised at how they just threw how to change verbs in without explaining how they got they way...all they did was give a chart saying this is the way the verb is....its good if you already know what you are doing...

  • @toomuch4em they do explain HOW to structure sentences but they dont explain WHY, and well...its because its hard to explain. Its like asking why english sentences are structured the way they are. but yes the game goes wayyyy to fast which is why i said these are one of those games where you gotta play like 50 times to understand and remember everything. And they do explain btw, you have to read it over and over again to finally understand it though. thats what i did haha.

  • Yea, I suppose this is somewhat of a godsend for beginners...but for me, I thought that not only was it too easy for a 2+ year Japanese student...but they were moving too fast and teaching forms in one lesson that it took me at least 2 lessons in a regular class to master. I did not like the fact that they just throw verb conjugation in your face and not explain to you how to change it...they just show you a chart with it already changed.

  • I do believe that this is a really good game to learn new words and kanji...as far as learning grammar goes...I think you should probably use a book or take a class. This game couldn't possibly make anybody an effective speaker of Japanese at the rate that it teaches you...you would have to go over these lessons countless times and you will still be missing out on other material! This program is definitely great as a supplement...but nothing more! I give it a 6.5/10

  • Hey i have that game! Its sooooooo awsome =DDD

  • I really liked ur review and that you showed us the game and what it can do.

I'm so going to order this somehow, or buy it if i ever come across it.

btw how long did it take for you to learn Japanese?

  • This game is good for supplementing your learning.Take a university class, study a textbook, listen to CDs, and get this game for the fun of it.You will definitely not learn Japanese from this game alone, those of you who are using only this game don't realize how many mistakes you are making and how little you know. The worst part of the game is the use of the English alphabet.Learning Japanese vocab with English letters is so ridiculous. I give this game 2 stars out of 5.

  • @blahk04 good point :D

I believe i said in the video that this is not the only way to learn. I also made a video on japanese learning tips. Oh! and this game only uses the english alphabet until you learn hiragana and katakana....geuss i shouldve showed that in the review!

  • Nice Where can i get this game?

  • you can get this game at gamestop or wlmart if you live in the states. I dont know about anywhere else

  • Really good review hehe i have this ~
