  • all right now try to beat a gt-r's launch control...

  • @TOKIOHOTEL1000000 That's pretty easy. You use launch control on a GTR and the transmission blows up.

  • RS5 is amazing.

  • two hands on steering wheel? GAY!

  • Check out our video about A3! :)

  • Swear I just heard the transmission buckle lol.

  • Automatic transmission = gay

  • i'm sorry, but this sounds like an S5, not RS5

  • @BestCarSound well then you are an idiot, there is no s5 with stronic transmission with launch control enabled, only rs5,

  • Sorry, but this sounds like an S5, not RS5

  • The RS5 has a bigger better more tuned engine than the R8. It is more V10 than V8.

The sound is nice. RS5 would wipe the R8 away.

  • following the launch drive in Ascari, see some shots of the RS 5 in Singapore on our home URL with a special guest appearance by the sole remaining Ur-quattro

  • rs5 is just like the s5 and rs4 they all have that v8 high growl but nothing will compare to the r8's sound. they all sound so much like it only ever so slightly less noisy and good. the r8s engine is in the middle and there isnt much exhaust pipe left going from the end of it to the engine which is why it sounds so godly striking. though the rs5 kicks v8 r8s ass in performance sadly and the rs6 too. why teh F would they make friggin sedans and high off the ground sports cars fasterthan supercrz

  • @MounirSamman imo, this naturally-aspirated v8 will go down as one of the greats. we loved it when it first appeared in the RS 4 so many years ago and it's a testament to its versatility that we see it being used in everything from the s5, the rs 5 and the r8

  • @MounirSamman

imo, the r8 feels much more involving on the track than the rs 5, notwithstanding the paper specifications; rs 6 is more an inter-galactic grand tourer than a track-star, even with the optional ceramic brakes

  • @motorprime But the RS6 is faster then a standard R8

  • @SuperCarsFullHD ...only in a straight line, stock to stock, i very much prefer the r8 on track

  • @motorprime You're right it does handle a lot better but then it is a supercar :)

  • @MounirSamman put custom exhaust , remove resonators and you're fine. watch my s5

  • @MounirSamman but with the sport exhausts its an amazing sound, getting this car without that option should be illegal!

  • How do you like it? It's listed as 0 to 60 in 4.4 sec. But with launch at the 5500 rpm I believe. In tests it nails it 4.0 flat!! How does it work? Is it simple?I heard it's rough, in comfort mode is it similar to the s5? I like my s5, but I'm on a list for the rs in the states and have to wait.

  • @krellamps my collaborator did the video in Ascari, but i recently had a chance to try it around the Sepang F1 circuit in Malaysia. the RS 5 is effortlessly fast, but feels heavy. it did everything it was supposed to, but didnt give me much 'sensation' while doing so

  • @afanaboy the S tronic is audi's dual clutch gearbox. The R tronic found in the r8 is the robotized manual transmission similar to lamborghini's e-gear.

  • Was the ESP off all the way. It seem to stop for a sec.

  • @SuPrIsE32

Vorher allerdings noch das ESP deaktivieren

  • das is ein s5 du nase

  • wie geht die launch control?

  • Very nice sound ^_^ that gear is DSG?

  • @chompon232 yes it is S tronic, audi's equivalent of the DSG... 7speed

  • @motorprime This is the first audi with a DSG gearbox...the S Tronic gearbox is NOT the same with a DSG...

  • @afanaboy Also the first Audi with a direct shift gearbox is the first generation TT 3.2. It was initially known as DSG until it was quickly renamed to 'S tronic'

  • @motorprime Audi's "dsg" system always been called tronic. DSG is the name of the same system but is the VW cars name.

  • @naive1987 please google specs on the original (mk1) TT 3.2. The dual clutch system at that time was termed DSG.

In singapore (RHD only) we did not have the Mk4 R32 Golf (which is theoretically the first DSG application), so at the launch of the mk 1 TT 3.2 here, all press material gave the transmission the 'DSG' moniker.

it was only later that it was renamed S tronic.

  • @motorprime well back then it was allowed to use same namings for Audi and VW, that had to change since 2008 because european rules.

  • @chompon232 RS5 is S-tronic only, not manual
