Why was this size dozer chosen for this assingment and not something bigger?

I'm speaking from a production standpoint. A D10 perhaps????

Would a bigger dozer be a LIABILITY considering the hills here?

Can you give a GUESSTIMATE as to how steep the steppest portions of the landscape is?
