well, Ireland and Spain have a long and intertwined history with one another. The music and dance is similar in certain aspects.. I think it shows a respect for the blood relationship they have and how they've helped eachother militarily throughout the ages. The first Ardrigh [high king] of Ireland was a brother of one of the first kings of Spain. They're from the same tribes of people and have always supported eachother.
