  • I,ve been on this at the top of the incline the building you can look through a small window and you can see the motor and all the steel cables that move the cars.

  • I can see it from out my window xD

  • I live here! :D

  • like this comment if you live/ have livd in J-town! :D

  • Thumbs up if you live there/Have lived there!! :D

  • Lived there until '95... kinda miss it.

  • I live here. :D

  • i just drive up to westmont to see it

  • I Live there,

Accually yea it may have an inclined plane, but its not all its made out to be.

  • I grew up in J-town in the 50s. I loved riding the incline.

The sky would light up red from the open-hearth steel furnaces. Now, downtown now is practically flattened.

I lived in Uniontown for a while recently & visited J-town almost every week. I still love Stackhouse Park & of course the Incline. But... lost my job like so many & had to move west. Luckily I have a job now.

Good luck, Johnstowners! I'm sure I'll be back again when I retire!

  • i always ride in inclined plane cause i live there :)

  • left Jtown never to come back

  • I live there in johnstown, PA and I riden that thing millions of times

  • @IggyKoopa12 Cool screen name! I'm also a big fan of the old Mario games and especially the Koopa Kids (I used to write for Lemmy's Land from 2000-2002).

  • i've been on that thing millions of times.. lol and that thing is the only thing were known for and the great flood lol

  • lol i live there i see the incline everyday its nothing special i've been on it thousands of times =P

  • ha me 2 lol

  • i live in richland

  • kool ghost miners and thunder in the valley is going to rock

  • can't wait for thunder in the valley

  • I love the inclined plane. Although I mostly just hang out at the top. A lot of people have actually seen the ghost miners off to the side of the base from the mine explosion that killed 115 in the early 1900's.

  • i live in johnstown, Pa and i've been on that alot of times . . . . .THE WORLDS STEEPEST INCLINE PLANE!!!!

  • at least were known for something...

  • lol u got that one right but its stupid

  • It's actually the world's steepest VEHICULAR inclined plane.

wow, I'm glad we can be known for something besides floods though...hahahaha

  • its not largest in world, its just the largest one that will take vehicles on it :)

  • I'm originally from Johnstown. My godfather was supposed to take me on there, but unfortunately, he passed away before he got a chance. I moved away from Johnstown when I was six years old. I only got a chance to visit twice since I left there. Anybody remember the carnival that used to come to Johnstown?

  • A box on a steep hill, a lack of employment, and a flood museum; that is the comedy that is Johnstown.

Hey, at least we'll always have something to joke about while we're here.

  • The Lookout Mountain Incline in Chattanooga is actually steeper.

72.7% compared to 70.9% at Johnstown.

  • funky town is right...j town sux

  • Hey shyartist79---I had a couple stand-up gigs there five or six years ago. The town is BACKWARDS, in the dark ages, asleep at the wheel. I live in Vegas.

  • i remember going down on this when there was no gate stopping u from falling to your death. prob about 15 years ago.. no bullshit i was scared.

  • there's a reason why this song "talks about talks about talks about movin"...

because everyone who grows up in johnstown DOES THAT

  • u aint lying

  • the pittsburgh one sux even more u cant evensee where ur going and ur like shoved in this box room

  • I have been on this incline a zillion times and this video is much more exciting than the actual experience. I think is was the music choice that made this video rock. HAHAHA

  • i live in johnstown. i think its safe to say that its trash.

  • I think it's safe to say you're right. That's why I left.

  • This song makes Johnstown City look like a hotspot. An upbeat 80s song makes it so hard to tell Johnstown is the slum that it is. It illuminates it for sure.

  • As this video by BNB shows, when you take the Johnstown Inclined Plane, the only thing wrong with the ride is that it has to end.

I also noticed that as you panned the camera in this video, several times you showed the secret hiding place we used as kids.

  • i live there actually i just ate at the resturant they have there abt a week ago!!

  • I think I've eaten at that restaurant too.

  • that trail that runs zig zaged down the mountan is crazy!!! on a mountanbike

    you should try it

  • I am pretty sure that it looks at more of an angle. Thats my opinion.

  • Nope, the official sign at the top says that the plane was built at a 35 degree angle. I used to think it was much steeper until I saw the sign.

  • That inclined plane is at a 35 degree angle.
