The fact Kouga's last hado broke through Dankou(which blocks hado up to #89) indicates Kouga's hado was at least level #92 (Knowing 90 is kurohitsugi and 91 senju koten taiho).

@Nomegustacomerfrutas Notice that when aizen and unohana use Danku, they need it because of the Hado 88 hiryu gekizoku shinten raiho. Which is akin to 73 twin lotus. an directional AOE kidou. So a larger danku is needed. But byakuya's danku was made just for him, because it is 1 on 1 so it doesn't need to be bigger. Every captain can make their danku huge, like aizen or unohana did.

@livinglegend01 It's not really bullshit if you really think about it, look at it this way, the strength of a kido is not only dependent on the ranking of the spell but also on the spiritual power of the caster and the ability of the caster to control the spell. With this in mind if a person with a higher spiritual power use way of destruction 63 "Raikōhō" againts a person with a lower spiritual power who then counters with way of binding 81 Dankū" the person with the higher power can win!!!

However; in a recent episode where Unohana vs. herself (gigai form) it was stated that the Gigai was altered to have much more spiritual pressure then the original, when the gigai used way of destruction 88 "Hiryu gekizoku shinten raiho" the original Unohana was able to fully block it using way of binding 81 "Dankū". btw sorry my first comment was so vague and crude, got caught up in the moment :P

With Unohana vs Herself (gigai) I don't really know what to say about that one other than that if the gigai still had her bracelet on then both Unohana should be at the same lvl, but I can't remember getting a clear view of her hand.
