Nice job! Nice seat. All of those who say they fall without stirrups. If you close your knees tights so your lower legs don't move you should be albe to stay on. Hope it helps??

@JumpingSneak3 - gripping with your kness you are more lightly to fall.. cantering with out stirrups you should stay relaxed... lower leg relaxed but on... and just move with your horse, just like u have got stirrups, hope this helps :)

I know how to do that too, except in my lesson the other day, my trainer decided to take away my entire saddle so I had to do everything including jumping 2'9 with no saddle!!!

I'm the trainer seeing this for the first time in 09. Thank you Elaine for posting. This mare is so nice. This day, I am not even sure why I popped up there or why I didn't ride with stirrups because Elaine and I have the same length legs. I love the mare's uphill movement. She is so soft and learning self carriage here. She is fussing a teeny bit, when I give her little feely half halts; that is so normal for horses to do.

you don't have to cross your stirrups over when doing no stirrups. it doesn't really matter, if you can keep your leg in the same position and keep the irons from bouncing.
