Of course I would be upset, I never said I wouldn't be, but it comes to point were you have to stop being selfish and think about what's really best for your daughter (and not your pride and social status). You don't call them names, especially in a situation like this, that's were unconditional love as a parent and compassion come into place. Yes, there would definitely consequences along with a lack of trust.
