  • Best song in gaelic i found so far :b

  • The gate on that nigger

  • I love how bheatha is pronounced like 'vaho' :)

    gaelic is a beautiful language

  • @kareljuwet one of the most beautiful on earth! But i've been calling for a spelling reform - to be closer to what the Manx do in that sense - for ages. Should be spelled: Oro she da vaha walja according to normal phonetic spelling. Why not?

  • @alexpjp because thats not gaelic its sung in gaelic and spelt in gaelic and it looks polish

  • Special cameo by Richard Dreyfuss on flute.

  • the hack of them lol

  • Go On Derek he is the only one out of the lot that speaks Irish hence him singing all the verses

  • Their white trousers are lovely....

  • May it please the God of Miracles that we may see,

Although we only live a week after it,

Grainne Mhaol and a thousand warriors,

    Dispersing the foreigners

  • El hadji diouf dislikes this.

  • i'm so happy to be irish :)

  • I love the Wolfe Tones but they are oppressing that poor horse like the English oppressed the Irish. Five people on a carriage for one horse only? I know people have done this for ages but they shouldn't do it when they sing in the name of freedom.

  • @DiegoElArbol That is an Irish Jaunting Cart. it is similar to a jet fighter, in that it is inherently 'unstable' and easy to keep in motion. For centuries they were used in the Irish countryside, pulled by donkeys. Inertia is very easily overcome, and they take little effort to keep the momentum.

  • True Celts, Not like all the fakers in the western isles who stab u in the back...

  • One person is a loyalist who viewed this by mistake

  • True talent! how did we go from this to jedward?

  • you can't sing that song often enough

  • 1 person wishes he were irish

  • How is the fourth word pronounced in the refrain/title pronounced? I can't make it out.

  • @palotin07 Spoken it sounds like vaha. Bh is like an english "v" and Th like "h".

  • @DCDUO Or maybe even a bit more like "vaho".

  • Wonderful song.

  • @seanyk111 hahaha :)yeah, absolutely, typical men on the street clothing

  • gas...all it's missing is áine from sligo flashing her proud irish arse

  • Oh dear... i totally love his sweater! xD Really! xD

  • I'm from Boston and grew up listening to this song as performed by the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem. Now, I'm in college learning to speak Gaeilge! I loved this version of it as well. An-mhaith!!

  • This is a fantastic old Scottish Jacobite song, one of the best ever.Great stuff

  • pretty sure it's irish, bud.

  • It's a Scottish song celebrating the return of Bonnie Prince Charlie to Scotland for the Jacobite uprising.

That's why Pearse picked it for his upcoming uprising.

  • @ebeneezzer it's about the irish pirate Grainne Mhaol. The original tune was about Prince Charlie, but the lyrics of this version are Irish and have nothing to do with the original subject.
