You consistently post absolutely wonderfully played videos with powerful music to boot. This one I really enjoyed as I heard a lot changes that I employ in my playing. Thanks for posting this and all of your great videos. The Bhigdaddy has spoken............Lol!
Thanks, Stefan. Very perceptive, yes, since we don't have a Tuba, I have Great II Trumpet (1918 Steere) and Great I Trompette (1979 Church) together for the Tuba sound. Everything else, except for the last two measures, is Steere.
Wayne, that is a very beautiful piece. It sounds like a great postlude piece. I think, though, that one can use it as a prelude for certain seasons in the liturgical year. I play for an Episcopal Church.
Thanks, organEd. We too are Episcopal at Redeemer. I happened to use it as a prelude this Sunday since I wanted something very upbeat, but yes, it would work quite well for a postlude.
Do you play recitals from time to time? You sure are a talented musician and a first rate organist. The color and articulation in your playing are outstanding. I always look forward to your new postings. I am still hoping some day that you play Virgil's arrangement of "Ye Sweet Retreat" by Boyce. I love playing the piece, and it is very beautiful, but I want to see how someone of your talents attacks those chords.
Красивое звучание.Тема в правой руке тембрально напоминает соло-гитару.;)))
