i have noticed the older amps from the 70's and early 80's were built in sections which meant working these units were quite straight forward. I have an old Pioneer 7800 intergred amp and its a good little unit and i had small fault to fix and i managed to locate which board had the problem and it was easy fix and i was able to move the board to where i needed to solder it. Same idea as your marantz there. Why aren't electronics made like this anymore? damn shame
