How to convert a .dsv (DeSmuME) to .sav (R4)

Dude, you are the freakin best. For some reason, I would usually change it manually from like Pokemon.sav to Pokemon.dsv and it would work if i placed it in the main folder or the Battery folder, but for some reason I didn't, then I somehow found my way here :P

I was able to convert my Pokemon Black .sav I'm using to .dsv by renaming it and it opened fine in Desmume. The only problem is that I can't do it again when I tried today.

Um, when I tried the converter, it wouldn't let me do it with the .dsv file. Would it work if I used the "Export Backup Memory" option on DeSmuME and then put the RAW save in the converter?

just start desmume with the game you need to convert the .sav to .dsv, click file, click import backup memory, click the save you want to convert and click okay, boom you have just converted your sav to dsv

@jujuyippy With your converted save file, you can play any game (DS games), but you have to rename your save file to your game name, so the game can read the save file.

and other .sav files in the r4 are 512kb but my .sav is 1024kb

@jujuyippy An Example: Your game name is: ANY_NAME.nds and your save file name is: ANYONE.sav.

you have to rename your save file to your game name, so you have to rename ''ANYONE.sav'' to ANY_NAME.sav
