  • Men`s tennis rules, WTA- amateurs!

  • @petronije1001 Not when there's only 4 men who can win.

  • the only ball sharapova tries to take early is the return, otherwise she just stays back and you cant do that now adays

  • I love how it sounds the strokes of Kvitova, are amazing!

  • Best bit is that the women's game is usually much slower than the men's game, yet Kvitova is hitting her ground strokes at about 75-80mph, almost the same speed as Federer, Djokovic or Nadal!

  • I think that Petra is for sure the best player now. Azarenka and Sharapova have big problems with her agressive play. They are also great hitters but Kvitova is simply better. What a shame she lost with Masha in AO. I think that she had a big chance to defeated Azarenka and win the title. But never mind!

  • slavs rule female tennis

  • Today!! Again! Petra, go and WIN!

  • Everyone is looking at kvitova as if she was a new messiah! She`s little bit above average that`s all!

  • @petronije1001 litlle bit above average? hmm..reigning Madrid, Paris, Wimbledon, FedCup and WTA finals champion. That is a nice average

  • @kozakon2 right, in the abscence of serena, kim, justine...Me myself woul`ve been in the top 10!

  • @petronije1001 right, she beat clijsters in Paris finals. Anything else?

  • @kozakon2 When did she beat serena? One win doesn`t make her a champion, schiavone beat henin once, witch doesn`t make her better than justine! She`s not even close, that`s more than obvious! Clijsters (inform)>>> Kvitova (highest peak), not to mention Serena!

  • @petronije1001 Jesus christ, you know absolutely jack shit about tennis ! Petra and for example Vika are different era than Kim or Venus and Serena ! Petra played Kim three times and Serena only two times when she was beginner on tour. Since Petra is on her peak which is since last year she has played only Kim and beat her ! go troll somewhere else for christ sake

  • @kozakon2 Who the hell do you think you are, some sort of expert? Why do you think your stinky opinion matters anyway? We`ll see how far will she get,and than I`ll remind you! Who the hell is jesus christ?!

  • @petronije1001 No further arguments as i expected. Of course we will see and then you can remind me how big twat you were. bye

  • Glad Sharabitch lost :)

  • Maria in my opinion did not play aggressive enough here. She kept hitting the ball back up the middle to Petra and without any real depth like she normally hits. She let Petra dictate which was her downfall.

  • @fencer11793 If u watched the full match, she hit alot of long balls. She played pretty crap that day. Cant remember if it was entirely her fault or Kvitova was just too good forcing her to make those errors.

  • @Kiasko Probably both. She seemed to be worn down from the clay court swing. But she definitely did not bring her best to this match.

  • every time i go to a tennis video, there is always that twarren20 person arguing and flaming shit smh

  • @kelvinpyaeko Right!

  • @andreLwalls Troll, I have a magic number for you FIVE. The amount of minutes it took you to lose this argument...FIVE. The number times you lost this argument over and over...FIVE. The number of times you have trolled me bc you're a sore loser...FIVE...and of course, last but not least, the number of tournaments SHARAPOVA has won in almost FIVE-ONE years = FIVE...LMAO...get a life bc you're still not getting read and I am only replying to the emails to show that you tried to say something.

  • @andreLwalls little bitty girl...if you reply to me one more time...you're flooding my damn inbox like a mad black lady...LOL. I still have no idea what you're ranting about and you keep showing up in my email as replying over and over. A mess...get some sleep and keep taking your hormones.

  • @andreLwalls You're still not getting read...i'm sick of you showing up in my email...GET a fucking life. You're irrelevant at this point, OMG what a loser LOL. Arguments over dude, and you clearly are angry bc you lost...wow.

  • @andreLwalls I think you said something else but AGAIN it didn't get read. I stopped reading your statements a while back. The only reason I know that you are replying is because it's coming to your email. Regardless of what you said...at the end of the day you and Sharapova are screaming losers...hahahaha. Oh btw did you have a good look at the 5, FIVE, CINCO tourneys she has won in almost 4 years???? I'm sure you did....let me say it again FIVE! LMFAO

  • @andreLwalls Not really, I knew from the last convo that the fact is that Sharapova is done and so are you so there was no use in reading more idiotic statements contesting and arguing that someone whose won a total of about 5 tournaments in the last 4 years..LMFAO...where's the argument?

  • Comment removed

  • @andreLwalls sure little girl...won't be going back and forth with you today...didn't even read your last posts...LMAO...good day.

  • @andreLwalls Her ass moves like a cow and screams like a fucking pterodactyl being murdered. I don't dislike Sharapova because she's been nothing but nice, but her game is one dimensional...SHE JUST DOESN'T HAVE WHAT IT TAKES ANYMORE...LMAO...you mad :)

  • @andreLwalls You're a dumb fuck. Making her way back means that she hasn't won anything significant and she's not hurt any longer, you said it yourself, she came back in May of 09...more than enough time for ppl like you to stop proclaiming that she's making her way back. She's been back long enough and we can stop mentioning that lame ass shoulder injury as an excuse as to why SHE HASN'T WON SHIT. The game has caught up to her and she can't cope...real talk.

  • 6:42 best backhand ever!

  • I don't see this mental toughness Maria had a golden opportunity to win the French and Wimbledon and she blew it. In 2012 Sharapova needs to play peecentage tennis and develop a strategy.

  • @andreLwalls At the end of the day, Sharapova won't win another GS. It's one thing to get close, it's another thing to actually win. She'll have another major injury and we see how long it's taking her to recover from her lil shoulder surgery...4 years...God forbid she has another injury (which she will like most players). She just doesn't have the game like a clijsters, Henis, or Serena to come back and win a GS after an injury.

  • @andreLwalls WTF are you talking about. I was being sarcastic by saying "she's still making her way back" meaning how long does it take to make your damn way back? I meant that it's stupid to think that she's still making her way back for 4 fucking years. And she hasn't won shit since 2008, the time frame I was originally discussing. So what the fuck are you talking about, dumbass...LOL you're dumb as fuck.

  • @andreLwalls That's called sarcasm because she's been making her way back to nothing because for almost 4 years she hasn't won another grand slam. How long does it take to make your way back. She's just isn't that good and the girls have caught up to her. Is that the best insult you could come up with...lol. I probably am a little girl is highschool...wow, i'm hurt. When you finish Sharapova still ain't won shit...lol.

  • @andreLwalls Now lets just count then dumb ass. Last major win was 2008 Aussie open. 2009x, 2010x, 2011x, bitch this is 2012 so take your retarded ass back to kindergarten. Any injury to a tennis player keeps them off the court or forces them into retirement. Don't get mad she hasn't done a damn thing...I don't have you fucked up, the puppy with the front lace wig on that pooped ya dumbass out is the one that got you fucked up...i can't heal crack babies so you stfu.

  • @andreLwalls Bitch hush and go and take your hormones, you're getting too emotional...at the end of the fucking day, consistency doesn't go down in history. No one gives 2 flying fucks that she was consistent all year and the only person that remembers that lame shit is you. Her injury was not the worse and you're using that as an excuse as to why her screeching ass didn't win a damn thing last year...and she been making her way back for almost 4 years. Now give two fucks about that.

  • @andreLwalls Now if Sharapova had a torn butt cheek that kept her from tennis and gave her an excuse as to the reason why she hasn't won, you'll be claiming that a torn butt cheek is the worse injury in tennis...

  • @andreLwalls Did she actually win a Grand Slam...NO. Almost doesn't count buddy. She did no better than Kvitova or Na Li...oops, wait they won Grand slams. Sharapova is a multi-slam winner who hasn't won won in almost 4 years, so NO she's not back, she was the same calibre as zvonereva in 2010, reach GS finals and won some tourneys but didn't actually get the main trophies. -_-

  • @andreLwalls I mean any injury that requires surgery is tough on a tennis player, not just the shoulder. Really? No one has come back from the type of injury Sharapova has??? Sharapova's injury was no worse than a lot of ppl's injuries on tour, and has she really come back? I guess, if you consider her enrolling in tournaments...lol, but has she won any? Not really. Any injury to a tennis play could mean the ending of the career. Look at Myskina who had a toe injury and it ended her career.

  • @twarren20 also Pierce's ACL injury, it ended her fabulous career also.

  • and yes shoulder surgery would be a lot more difficult to come back from than a pulmonary failure in terms of sports; in terms of life, Serena had it worse for sure. And just a fact here... no one is sure how long it takes for her shoulder to have fully recovered cause no one ever has. so as far as we know her shoulder could still be bugging her and she's just dealing with it. but yeah i would have thought it would be better by now and sharapova's just a lil timid to really go for her serves now

  • @TennisFan713 i agree its all in her head and of course she is till a good competitor she had 13 DF in her semifinal match and still won thats amazing in terms of character

  • @wozniacki15 The funny thing with sharapova, kvitova, serena, venus, and clijsters, is that it's really up to them to win or lose :P I mean if you watch them, they're rarely defeated, they mostly get forced out by their multitude of errors. (Sometimes caused by the opponents of course).

  • lol at the argument... Sharapova's serve is gone but it doesn't mean she isn't still a good competitor... and yes actually her double faults are definitely all in her head seeing as how her service motion is normalish (its always looked a lil awkward in a graceful way to me :P) and yeah she had her chances but it was definitely petra's day to shine that day :)

  • @TennisFan713 its funny cuz i never said she wasnt a good competitor it was just for this single match that she was mentally unstable that andre person took things way outta proportion

  • Wow Kvitova just out hit Sharapova in this match

  • Comment removed

  • @andreLwalls you need to really grow up and take a chill pill im done with this convo cause its obvious you're a person who doesnt know how to be rational goodbye :)

  • @andreLwalls and the reason i said serena was to make an example since you make it seem like sharapova has been through it all when she hasnt.

  • @andreLwalls dnt know why u so upset and rude it is a big deal but for her the mighty sharapova you guys make her out to be to take all this time to make a final is pathetic. just a shoulder surgery isnt life threatening. but for example serena williams whos life was on the line and made the finals in new york months later is a big deal eat that!!!!

  • @wozniacki15 the sad thing is i doubt i will get too watch the AO open cause of the time difference im 11 hours behind, so i have no idea how im going too see the coverage =/.

  • @wozniacki15 tell me about it, lets see how far she gets next year, because i highly doubt she will make it too the final next year. Who do you thinks going too win the Aussie open next year dude? I want it too either be serena or caroline, but i dont care if serena doesn't win a grand slam next year as long as she wins the olympic gold medal lol.

  • @wozniacki15 100% right, everytime sharapova wins all is well, but when she loses people blame it on her God damn shoulder. If her shoulder was that bad then she wouldn't have even made it too the final in the first place, people over rate maria so much its annoying.

  • @coolmonster1001 ikr these sharapova fans are the worst i have seen its like she can do no wrong and when she does its one excuse after another after another

  • @andreLwalls first off she has had two years to recover from that surgery and its just taking her all this time to get back to a final serena williams had a career threatening knee injury after she won wimbledon in 2003 not to mention the death of her sister and has won seven slams since then. she even had pulmonary embolism in february and gets to a final at the USO months later shes been through way more than maria but has been more successful in her comebacks stop making excuses for her

  • @wozniacki15 cause its gettin pretty old

  • @andreLwalls uhh yess if you cant realize that maria obviously isnt the same and cant even put up decent serves on important points. and if you think that maria wasnt mentally weak here then your blind as fuck

  • Unfortunetly Sharapova Had her chances in the 2ed set her serve let her down.

  • @andreLwalls lol sad but true

  • @andreLwalls to tell you the truth it is her being mentally weak because when she first came back it was a physical thing to get her shoulder healthy now her shoulder is back at 100% but she is still double faulting why??? its not physical anymore its mental now she thinks abt it way too much and for her to DF on those important points in this match shows her mental toughness is fading

  • @andreLwalls I can say whatever I want and your rudeness and bad attitude won't change my opinion. You talk about Sharapova's achievements which are in the PAST not in the PRESENT. Yes, Sharapova has 3 slam titles but she is mentally weak now. Sharapova's losses to Li Na at the French open when she double faulted multiple times and her loss to Kvitova shows her lack of composure in tight situations. Sharapova continued the bad play when Flavia Penetta dismissed her at the US OPEN.

  • Sharapova's serve let her down in this match six double faults is not a lot BUT she double fault at critical moments when she got tight. All this talk about Sharapova being mentally tough is BS. Sharapova is a very stupid player if you watch this match you will notice she had no strategy. Maria just hits hard and harder very dumb thing to do against Kvitova. She didn't change the pace or come to net, or try anything different.

  • @JordanjamesX its soo true its just these delusional sharapova fans cant accept the truth that she is not the player she once was

  • is it just me or does anyone else agree that both girls had very easy runs too the finals? because the only player that kvitova played that can be considered good is azarenka and maria didn't have anyone well i guess she had sabine although she wasn't even playing well. Don't get me wrong i like kvitova alot, its just her run too win wimbledon was just so weak and maria had a ridiculous easy run too the final aswell. Will be interesting to see how far they both get in wimbledon next year.

  • Sharapova has the nicest legs ever

  • Although neither are very good movers like the Williams' or Clijsters, Sharapova is the better of the two. This could be the rivalry for the new era in women's tennis (post Williams'/Clijsters/Henin)Kvitova is as clean a ball striker I've seen since Lindsay Davenport, but Sharapova is more experienced and accomplished. It'll be interesting to see how this rivalry plays out in the future. Finally, some hope for women's tennis, because it was beginning to look dismal with Wozinacki leading the way

  • @hiu1787 I disagree Kvitova moves better than Sharapova a lot better. She also has a lot more variety in her game than Maria does.

  • I WILL say this: Sharapova is NOT one of those players that I believe can stop Kvitova....and it's for one reason: Sharapova's EX-serve (yeah...her serve divorced the shit out of her ass)....and unless they get re-married, Maria will need someone else to take Kvitova out to win titles.

  • I LOVE THISS<3

  • where's sharapova crowd x)... owned ;D

  • power vs power XD

  • after waiting a long time....finally (Thank Good) womens tennis has a new truly champion..Petra Kvitova...come on¡¡¡ since Sharapova in 2004 the WTA was lacking the presence of a new star...Henin is now retire...Clijsters, Williams Sisters are close to retirement...I have no doubt Kvitova will dominate womens tennis...I mean what do you think of Kvitova winning the 2012 Australian Open Champion defeating Clijsters and Serena in route...She will probe she is now the new queen of tennis.

  • Comment removed

  • when i saw her play serena i new i would here frome her again lol

  • kvitova will definitely be the next dominator in women tennis...amazing groundstrokes and volleys !

  • Petra Kvitova will be the new Queen of the WTA. Next season will be a treat for us all after a dissapointing season. Yes, there is alot of depth in the WTA now, but I don't see Wozniacki, Zvonereva, Azarenka, Bartoli, Radwanska, or Petkovic, Na, or Stosur winning a major next season. I'm more excited to see the clash of Kvitova, Serena, Clijsters, and Sharapova :P How about Kim take the US, Kvitova at French, Serena at Wimbledon, and Sharapova at US lol ? Oh and Woznicaki lose her ranking

  • @jayjaywalk4life Kim take the Australian Open. However I would like to see Serena return to form cause once she's on her game, I think she'll raise Kvitova's and Sharapova's level, and once you add Clijsters to that mix....that's some brilliant tennis. I think that by this time next year, they'll all be in the top 4.

  • @jayjaywalk4life Well before you say Kvitova is the queen of the WTA doesn't she need to win MORE than just one slam? I'm not putting Kvitova on top yet until she wins more slams. She's got to prove her Wimbledon win was no fluke. We've seen people like Ivanovic win a slam or Kuznetsova win two and disappear.

  • @JordanjamesX LOL...you are so right...she won 1 slam and all of a sudden she's a queen...can she be a princess or better yet a court jester first b4 taking the throne.

  • it must be an absolute dream to see your name on that roll of hounor, wimbledon champion ,it gets no better than that

wta chamipon, congrats this girl has some bottle

  • i just hope we can have a serena and kvitova final cause kvitova is strating 2 think that shes really good... i bet serena would kick her ass

  • brilliant tennis for Petra Kvitova....i love it:))

  • I had not seen much of Kvitova before this match and switched on expecting Sharapova to win. Not only was I wrong, but I was converted. :) She has the potential to pull WTA out of the rut of the last two or so years.

  • I don't like watching Sharapova because of her noice but I watched anyway.

  • I am watching this on my laptop in my living room and because of Sharapova's screams my girlfriend asked me; "Are you watching porn, WTF???!!!!" I mean stop it with the f*cking insane grunting (Azarenka too)...

  • i hope at wimbledon final it would be serena vs kvitova so that serena can learn who the real champion is

  • don't call me mean spirited, but: Kvitova = one-hit-wonder

Sorry, I really hope the best for her, but her recent performances were really bad...

  • @Keytaster I think your comment lacks merit Kvitova just won Wimbledon four months ago and only one grand slam passed since she won Wimbledon. I believe Kvitova will become a multiple slam winner she's just so talented and she has the weapons the other young women lack. She's got the huge serve, good movement, good hands, good volleys, excellent forehand and backhand. Kvitova is also very young she will win more slams.

  • @JordanjamesX you got me totally wrong there. I really hope for her to win more turnaments and, of course, Grand Slams. BUT her recent matches showed much need for improvement. I mean, she won Wimbledon which was fantastic. Although Sharapova did a terrible job with tactics and played exactly like Kvitova wanted it. Nevertheless, she deserved to win. I think, Wimb was a big fish & Kvitova will have to do a lot more to repeat this success.

  • @Keytaster kvitova could be like venus (minus the US opens), making wimbledon her home and having multiple success at that one major too :) i mean, look at kvitova play everywhere else even before wimbledon, she's always been erratic but when she gets to wimbledon, she just knows how to play there :P

  • I don't aggree she'd been erratic before Wimbledon. She won three tournaments in 2011 before Wimbledon. She had downpoint before and after Wimbledon but she can play all surfaces, doesn't lose big matches, she's still learning. At Roland Garros she was better than Li but she never plays it safe and in the 3rd the balls went 5cm outside rather than inside. She said, she became nervous during that game. She made a mistake, learnt her lesson and went to win Wimbledon. She's gonna rule

  • @Keytaster and of course kvitova will win more titles outside the GS's but maybe not to venus' degree :P

  • @Keytaster Kvitová has to be more steady throuhout the season. She's had 3 major peaks this year. 1-Beginning of the year, wins in Brisbane, Paris and Madrid (Jan-Apr). 2-Summer, ruuner-up at Eatbourne, wins at Wimbledon (June-July). 3-End of season, wins at Linz and at WTA Championships Istanbul, vicory at Fed Cup (Oct and Nov). She's not here to stay a year or two. She's had her downs but she's so mentally strong! Petra always attacks, no matter what. Intelligent, modest, talented.MORE TO COME

  • LOL, kvitova sounds like shes barking when she hits a winner.

  • Sharapova needs to spin the ball more often, her bashing of every ball just gets her into trouble, just look @6:42-6:43. Or else she can kiss her chances of ever winning another grand slam goodbye.

  • @tremaine861 it's not the fact she's hitting a flat ball, it's the fact that her pattern of hitting is down the middle or cross court. If she pulled the ball up or down the lines a lil more and change directions she'd be fine.

  • @tremaine861 that and kvitova is just a really good player, she re-directs pace so well on grass, and on top of that she is capable of creating pace.

  • Comment removed

  • I remembered the time when she was great at using lobs with williams at the net during the wimbledon 2004 finals and it brings back memories of the 2004 sharapova especially at 4:52 when her lobs are sensational! oh i miss her in her teenage years

  • Such explosive and clean groundies from Kvitova. Her backhand slice is a deceptive one too.

  • @TopTenTennisNetwork Yep. Kvitova is probably going to dominate on grass in the upcoming years and will most likely stay rather inconsistent on hardcourt and clay.

  • Yesterday Kvitova was thrashed by Petkovic in Toronto. Let's jope it was just a bad day at the office and no the beginning of a downward trend following her first GS victory. It would be upsetting to watch her follow the path of Ivanovic, Myskina or Majoli.

  • @zim83 Believe me, it's just her being rusty after Wimbledon. She is not a one major wonder; she's the real deal. When her game is there she would beat Petkovic with no problem. After a couple of matches, she'll be back to the form that got her the Wimbledon crown.

  • @zim83 I think people have to give the girl time so what if she lost to Petkovic in Toronto and Cincinnati?Kvitova needs time to adjust to becoming a slam champion. If Kvitova plays badly for a year then we got a problem but I am hoping that she can improve the WTA really needs her. The WTA needs a new young player that can win grand slams.

  • @JordanjamesX i agree. also,to judge or to predict purely from mere four matches,is absurd. it's too early to tell where she could be next week, even. hell, she could play herself back into championship form through the course of the u.s. open,we don't know. we have seen it before. also, let's not forget many first time champs struggled a little following that breakthrough. even serena williams herself struggled a bit after she won her first major at the us open in 99.

  • @scottjhnsn what's more, kvitova has had a dip in her focus this season following her win at the paris indoors and quickly got herself back on form by the clay season. so i'm not going read to much or dwell on her future prospects simply over four matches.

  • @zim83 So what? You cannot expect a young player that just wins a slam to play perfect after the victory. People need to patient and give Petra time to adjust. It is often after a player wins a slam she experiences a low in her game and then comes back.

  • @zim83 Petra has aways been an inconsistent player. Her results these past weeks don't mean anything on the long term, as she's had these kind of "slumps" before and came back playing God-like tennis at times. She's not one of those one slam wonders. Petra's game has potential to dominate on grass for years and be a huge contender for other slams, mostly the Australian and possibly on French Open too.She doesn't need to become consistent in order to win more slams.

  • I think Sharapova is talented but what I noticed in this match was she had no strategy against Petra. Sharapova has a coach so why isn't her coach giving her any tactics? Sharapova has powerful groundstrokes but that is not enough she needs to improve the serve. She double faulted six times in this match which isn't a huge number but she got tight at critical moments. I also noticed Maria did not use slices, drop shots, lobs, or anything to change the pace. Sharapova has no plan B.

  • @JordanjamesX she is talented but to be honest does sharapova ever play with a lot of strategy? she seems like an atypical ball basher and while she does strike the ball beautifully and can get away with that when she's clicking but what we saw here from petra is what we tend to see from say serena williams....these girls possess a great deal of nuance....they aren't just hitting the ball but thinking where to place it.

  • @scottjhnsn i'd say sharapova isn't really a ball basher (compared to rezai and gaijadosova), she does play with a bit of strategy but more gut instinct, yea kvitova and serena are better than her at thinking on court and pretty much playing in general but that doesn't take away from what sharapova can do. And ESPN keeps spitting shit about how the new young american girls (oudin, mchale etc.) are gonna be gs winners some day, thats more absurd than saying sharapova is going to win a slam.

  • @TennisFan713 i'm not sure....given what we all saw here and what we witnessed in recently cincy is a perfect example of sharapova unable to embrace the concept of dialing it back when she needs to. she goes for too big on her second serve which accounts for her multitudes of DF..... she goes for winners too often which sometimes results in many unnecessary errors. her game is still very unpredictable.....inconsistent. simply too risky if you want to win majors again.

  • @scottjhnsn That's just sharapova's mentality though is it not? She puts everything into every point, so of course she goes for winners, and it's not exactly that she goes for too big of a second serve, it's that her second sere is basically no different then her first which isn't necessarily a bad thing, because we do forget she's got another solid 4-5 years left to fix her serve and tweak things with hogdstedt :) As much as the wta needs serena we need petra AND maria when serena leaves :(

  • @TennisFan713 Yes but Sharapova's mentality is not very smart she lacks strategy. If Sharapova would just go to the net more and volley that would make her life easier. I am not saying Maria needs to become a serve and volleyer but I think she needs to take the ball out of the air more when she has a chance. I also think Sharapova could learn to get a good slice backhand, maybe some drop shots, lobs, moon balls ect. Maria just did not play a smart match in this final she was overpowered.

  • @JordanjamesX Yeah but she is capable of switching it up she does play drop shots and moonballs occasionally (just not here for some reason) but she doesn't have the feel of other players which you can't teach so its a lil more difficult and i would not suggest maria to go volley, we've all seen what happens, drive volleys yes haha :P she even said she could've taken some more balls out of the air in this match when she had the chance and also petra was just too good that day

  • @JordanjamesX simply put, maria needs to play like federer

  • kvito va seams like nalbandian :). power strok :p

  • Sharapova is goog but not that good, the media overrates her A LOT?

  • @kevin12061989 I wouldn't call someone who has been to 5 major finals, has 3 grandslams and a Year end Championship overrated. Maybe Ivanovic, Safina, Jankovic and Wozniacki are the overrated former number ones but not Sharapova. Would you call Djokovic overrated he also has 3 grandslams and 5 finals.

  • @AFCompany i was saying the media makes us think she's the biggest thing since Graf literally, yes she's a 3-time GS champion but not an all-time great. She had some beatdowns put on her recently and all you hear is how she's the one who's got to be the leader of the wta, how she's the favorite for the Us, i mean she hasn't won a slam since nearly 3 years!!!

  • @kevin12061989 yep, she is capable to do that (win a slam again), i agree with AF Company she isn't overrated, the problem is will she gain her best form again in 2005-early 2007 and early 2008, not talking about the best of all time which you know still court, evert, navratilova, graff, serena williams stand, but is sharapova gonna make it ? yes if her consistent

  • @kevin12061989 i agree with you in that actually. it's been a little disgusting watching how the american media(especially those cronies on espn) basically have been salivating over sharapova since she's started playing a bit better....acting as if she's going to win everything. even when she's getting her bum beaten(like against li na at RG)......they still act as though she's the only player on court.

  • @kevin12061989 No shit.

  • i would love to watch davenport in 05 against kvitova

  • @panicattackman20 that would be hard hitting!

  • Kvitova played amazing, but Sharapova is just not the player she once was. She gave away way too many free points on Double Faults and service returns on important points. If Sharapova's serve was what it once was, she should have at least pushed it to a 3rd.

  • maria will always be my number 1 idol,, but i love petra after her, and after this match :D i never adore female player except maria for this past 6 years and now i'm going to cheer for petra,, ilove the way maria play with glorious and everyone cheer for her and her dress so pretty, and now petra comes with such an lovely and sweet personality and she's really down to earth and she win wimbledon ^O^,, i always love everyone who's win wimbledon (serena, venus, maria, amelie, and now petra ^O^)

  • Kvitova played amazing. She overpowered Maria!I felt very sorry for Maria, but very happy for Petra, because she really deserved this win!

  • Kvitova played the best tennis on the women's side this year. It wouldn't have made sense to me if she lost this final.

  • These are my favorite 2 women in tennis and I love seeing them do battle. I just wish Maria would've put up more of fight.

  • I love watching Kvitova destroying the annoying shriekers (Sharapova and Azarenka) at Wimbledon. Maybe the little girls watching this match will learn that you don't have to sound like giving birth to win Wimbledon. These highlights are the best. Thank you.

  • @ 3.15 she definitely reminds me Lindsay Davenport

  • very good upload! sharapova was just outplayed by kivitova. her power from her groudstrokes are just like that of davenport..she doesn't have to hit really hard or force herself to unleash powerful strokes

  • @kelvinpyaeko yeah and i believe kvitova strokes are harder than davenports her avg groundstroke speed of the tourney was about 75 or 76 mph, i mean thats crazy because the three biggest hitters that everyone knows sharapova was 73 mph and the williams sisters were both 69 mph. kvitova is rly something special and i hope she builds on this achievement

  • @wozniacki15 wow...that's a feat for her..didn't know it before..yeah, she would push wozniacki (sorry no offense if you are her fan, considering your account name) somewhere down in the ranking and take the number 1 very soon, IMO

  • @kelvinpyaeko I personally love wozniacki, but I don't think I'd mind her and Kvitova being 1 and 2 ;)

  • @wozniacki15 I think winning the Year-End Championships would qualify as building off this ;)

  • @TopTenTennisNetwork lol yes :)

  • I hoped that Sharapova would have won, but WOW... Kvitova played amazing. I think there will be many more grandslams for her ;)
