OW, man... You're the only Grammar-grinder who have made me laugh over here. Keep on. There's just a think I've noticed, and I'd like you knew about it. The think that is good for a Russian'd make an Englishman dying, I suppose. As You'd said If someone likes apples on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and doesn't like them on the other days of a week is weird. awkward and pathetic. And (are you sitting? It'd better you do.. hahaha)

When I made these videos I focused on the most commonly used way of speaking while using countable nouns which is by pluralizing them. Your apple a day example is another; however, less common way of speaking generally. There are actually three ways of generalizing countable nouns. I will list them below from most common to least common.

1. Lions are large animals.

2.A lion is a large animal.

3.The lion is a large animal.

Most students have significant problems with #1

...so I decided to focus on that. The other less common things can wait for later. If a person were to use #2 and #3 all the time as opposed to #1, he/she would sound stilted and perhaps might even make native speakers laugh because of this. You are right though. I appreciate your interest in my videos.
